Would you play a Skyrim Remaster if it looked like this?

Ever dreamt of trudging across snowy mountain tops of Skyrim again in search of treasure, fend off that dragon from the top of that tower, or enjoy a nice stroll through a grassy knoll? Can't really find an excuse to put another 100 hours into the 4 year old epic adventure? If the screenshots below doesn't do the trick, I don't know what will.

make it look like this , with all of the DLCs and you've got a deal xD

Deadlead3792d ago

I hate myself but yeah I would. But I sincerely hope Bethesda is putting in work on Fallout4 or ES6. Probably F4 even though I'd prefer the latter.

XBLSkull3792d ago

I'd play more skyrim simply if i had more time. No remaster required, just work on the next game.

iSuperSaiyanGod3792d ago

I've sadly bought skyrim at least 4 times . PS3 & Xbox 360 , then sold my systems and re bought them at least once . I'd buy it again for the ps4 . The shame I have for loving the game so much lol

Highlife3792d ago

No to many fetch quests for my liking. Game could have been better.

nveenio3791d ago

Those screens have too much bloom. I'd prefer ES6 and let me mod it myself to get the look I want.

Changing the graphics doesn't change the game. So no. Sure, it looks WAY better visually, but I'm still going to get the same experience in every other fascet of the game. So again, no, better graphics won't make me replay a game.

Bigpappy3791d ago

I am a huge ES fan, and actually agree with you. I don't replay games for better graphics. But I might for Morrowind. Not for the graphic, but the overall performance gains.

The question that be is moot at best, because those pics are from a high-end gaming PC, and the console versions won't look anywhere NEAR as good as that.

But that aside I would love for a PS4 remaster of the "Skyrim Legendary edition" with a huge Graphics Textures patch, along with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch! (Currently v1.02) and Open MODs Support would definitely get my $60 again.

And Yes, Sony does supports MODs in some of their games, anyone that owns Unreal Tournament 3 for PS3 can attest to this.

This game offers SO MUCH Content & Replay Value to be left in the annals of last generation.

garyanderson3792d ago

Eh, I dunno. All the images look washed out and blurry.

nveenio3791d ago

Too much bloom. This is why whoever modded this isn't in game development. You have to know where to stop.

TXIDarkAvenger3792d ago

Or you know, just buy a PC copy and mod it like they did.

lemoncake3792d ago

Doesn't feel like it has been that long since this game was released.

Deadlead3792d ago

11/11/11 I believe. Some of that invaluable knowledge I've got stored up in the old noggin.

MS could compress their games on disc

raWfodog41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg31d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan40d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher70d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast68d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

jznrpg69d ago (Edited 69d ago )

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic68d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee69d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator68d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast68d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
