From Cinelinx:
The new Star Wars Battle Pod game gave me a reason to plan a trip to the video arcade. Once I was in the pod, I had to experience every epic level the arcade had to offer and have brought my thoughts on the new gaming machine.
WGTC: “Star Wars has dominated every conceivable form of media since 1977, but one of the least commonly recognized is the franchise’s rich history in arcades.”
This summer, the stars are aligning at Dave & Buster’s! Now you can battle the First Order from Star Wars: The Force Awakens in an all-new level of Star Wars Battle Pod. And it’s only at Dave & Buster’s.
Just a suggestion, the word before the Roman numeral for seven is spelled "episode". Otherwise it's exciting to know Dave & Buster's will have something to brag about other than their food.
BNR: During the 2015 New York Comic Con, one of the coolest things that I got to experience was the Star Wars Battle Pod- specifically, the brand new flat screen edition of the arcade machine- it was generally a cool experience that put me in the cockpit of an X-Wing, on my way to blow up the Death Star. The game's an on-rails shooter, so I didn't have to steer- just throttle up and down and aim at the TIE fighters coming at me. The game's graphics are decent, but nothing worth calling home over- the Battle Pod is really about the experience of being in a starfighter.
