Last summer's PS4 Battlefield Hardline beta disappointed us with its sub-par frame-rate and a notable lack of visual refinements over Battlefield 4. Surely we should expect more from a triple-A title based on a key franchise? With a new beta released this week, we were eager to see what improvements had been made, based on code that should fall closely into line with the performance profile of the final game, due next month. We've already taken a look at the PC version running on a high-end PC, and it runs as expected but what about the console versions? Have things improved?
Battlefield veteran developer Thaddeus Sasser reveals a cut Segway vehicle from Hardline because it became way too powerful.
Marvel Rivals game director and Battlefield Hardline multiplayer lead Thaddeus Sasser wishes gamers played the latter's DLC expansions.
This was one of my harder platinums to get, mainly because the game was the beginning of the Battlefield decline, this game was horrible.
DLC for shooters generally splits the player-base between ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’, and it often means that servers became less populated and as a result, many dropped the game completely once that happened …
Yeah, kind of ironic isn't it. If they had released it a year later with the DLC part of the base experience, it would have gotten a bigger audience.
Multiplayer design lead Thaddeus Sasser reveals that Battlefield Hardline 2 was never going to happen after the backlash of the first.
Hardline at least tried to mix things up for the first time in a while. This was pretty much the nail in the coffin for Visceral though.
Hardline was fun af, nice size areas to get around in. Got a good 10 hours out of it because I took my time much as I can. Sucha good story and atmosphere
I didn't even know this was something that had been requested. A new Bad Company, oh hell yeah. Hardline? Not so much.
Hardline was great for what it was and it had the best MP mode with the moving hardpoints, if you havnt played it the hard points to capture were vehicles, with points earned for how long you are in one, so its this huge mash up of ground warfare and taking out vehicles and getting in one and tearing ass trying not to get blown up...was awesome.

i hope they will make it 1080p in the final version
Or at least 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox one
Worse looking and worse running on X1. It's BF4 all over again.
720p in 2015 is disgusting.
And the fact that BF4, a launch game, is more visually impressive than this game, even after a 6 month delay, is laughable. You're supposed to make progress, guys, not go backwards.
The game looks really bad. And the character animations are stiff. Maybe it'll get better but I doubt it.
I could tell it was cut and paste job because i am certain the dustbowl map is the zivod map ( i think thats the name from Battlefield 4) i noticed some of the buildings in the outer edges looked very similar.
Its the map with the train tracks and busted tanks and hills and slopes on each side.
Its not surprising its 720p on x box 1 is just a money cash in this game.
So, a year later - plenty time to find your feet. Where have all the PS4/XB1 fanboys/Wii U/Nintendo haters disappeared? At least admit that both PS4 and XB1 are NOT offering performance generations ahead of the Wii U...and no ifs or buts please. Fact is, Nintendo and the Wii U are running 720p/1080p games running at 30/60fps. As it stands today both the PS4 and XB1 struggle with that. Each to his own but I just hope a little egg on face and reflection put things into perspective.
