That “weird” music you’re playing is your way of expressing your emotions, and your ripped jeans and neon-blue hair aren’t taboo at schools like they were when those two were teenagers. They misuse your lingo, and even when they use it correctly, you still cringe from the anticipation of what’s to follow. But they know more than you give them credit for, even if they may have uttered the name “Snoopy Dogg” on more than one occasion. Dontnod’s Life is Strange is the dorky parents — its dialogue fails to even approach sounding like real teenagers and some characters are based on stereotypes from 30 years ago, but through it all, there’s a sense of knowledge and empathy that very few games can touch."
