The Rift Arcade – Hands on with Maze Roller on Oculus Rift DK2

Navigating mazes using a ball doesn’t sound particularly appealing in virtual reality, but somehow, the developers behind Maze Roller have managed to create a fun and addictive game that shows much potential. An alpha release demo was recently released for the Oculus Rift that includes four maze levels. Viewed from a third-person perspective, the game tasks players with rolling through complex mazes (including a multi-tiered maze) while avoiding holes and springs along the way. It’s genuinely fun, even though it takes multiple attempts before controlling the ball becomes second nature.
