Did Richard Sherman Break The Madden Curse

Skewed and Reviewed have posted an opinion piece asking if Richard Sherman has broken the Madden Curse due to another successful season and a return to the Super Bowl.

It's a sprained elbow, but it's confirmed he will play. While I'm sure it will limit use of his left arm, it won't fully prevent what he does best, mirror and cover receivers. We won't know how much it will limit him in 12 days, but as long as he can run, predict, and use his right arm effectively he should do alright. As long as he doesn't need to tackle or get hit that is.

The biggest loss will be his interception ability, one handed catches through the air will be tough. Hopefully it won't come down to him.

Patriots are gonna win the superbowl regardless. If Sherman isn't there they're gonna get pounded. If Sherman is there Patriots will prolly win by 7-14 points.

Please. Had the packers not gotten so cautious at the end they'd be playing the Patriots in the Superbowl. Packers let them in. The Seahawks just aren't playing like they need to.

Defending champs are going down baby..Patriots won't lose this one. Patriots 17-10 over the Seahawks.

The Pats are a better team than the last time they played in Seattle. It took the Seahawks the last play of the game to beat the Patriots. The Patriots had a shitty defense that yr. Now they are well balanced. Great offense, good defense, great special teams. We'll see in two weeks.

Did they get caught using deflated balls? I know The Colts looked deflated after that beatdown...

They won their previous 3 by 9 combined points so a man guesses that was the margin of victory for them. When you know what a team is doing on offense apparently it helps. Funny how prior to 2007 the Pats' MO was defense and Brady makes a few plays at the end. Remember how their offense only scored 13 points in SB36? Now that they can't film the other team's offenses all of a sudden they are an offensive team.

At least this has proven Brady can't carry a team to the superbowl title considering he collapses every time against Eli without his amazing Defense to keep him in the game. Never before have 2 superbowl MVPs been so strangely given to a QB (aside from Joe Namath's and Terry Bradshaw's in SB14). You have a game where an offense scores 13 points and the defense stops the greatest show on turf holding them to just 17 while scoring a touchdown and yet you give it to the QB. Ty Law got robbed of that MVP (or Vinateri take your pick).

Then he throws an INT in the end zone with a chance to seal it in SB38 and somehow gets it again. We don't need your late game heroics if you didn't throw that pick Brady! Whoopdiedo he guided field goal drives with the game TIED. A man repeats they could have won in OT even with the other team stopping them there. You want pressure? Look at Montana, Roethlisberger, and Manning's SB drives when they were DOWN late in the game. We all saw how Brady responded to that in the last 2 SBs he's been in.

But wait this whole "dynasty" should have never started because the Oakland Raiders got robbed first and foremost. The tuck rule only applies when the ball is being drawn back to the body. Brady clearly puts his left hand back on the ball before the hit comes meaning fumble, game over, "dynasty" non existent. But the NFL lets them get away with that just like they got away with spygate (which will forever tarnish their legacy) just like they're letting them get away with deflated footballs. They are undoubtedly the worst examples for any kids today to watch. Seahawks need to show that cheaters don't prosper and give them what they deserve.

There think that just about dismantles any ideas of "greatness" about a cheater and a choking pansy who actively motions to the refs for flags. It's ok Tom your wife will have some excuse ready when you fail to deliver...AGAIN. It's been a decade man just retire already you're too old for this shit. Then true football players can return to the spotlight instead of ones who just try to get the rules changed for them.

what a load that is...IF that were indeed true then wouldn't the colts have had the same advantage as the patriots since they used the same ball?? and i suppose all the referees were in on it as well since they also touched the ball...get real. there's always gotta be something...
and to this day i don't know how people associate plain dumb luck with a "curse". although if it's true then i guess those seahags will lose the superbowl then.

Hawks played their worst game in years and won. Last 5 min they played their game on O and the Packers could not stop them. Imagine if they had not had the turnovers off deflections. Packers would have less points and Hawks would have won bigger. B

The Packers didnt play their best either and still had you on the ropes. Great comeback, cant take that away from them. Probably one of the best games Ive seen since Peyton and the Colts beat the Patriots in AFC title game(seems the Pats are always in those)some yrs back.

I like the Seahawks just not against my Patriots.

@jaqen, why you so mad at Patriots and hating on Brady for man. Its just a game. Its not his fault they have a winning team every yr and every year they have a chance to go to Super Bowl. Only a handful of teams can say they have a shot every yr. The Seahawks just started winning on a consistent basis let me know when theyve been doing it for as long as Brady and the Pats. You bring up cheating....but the Pats have had more success than any other team since then(aside from not winning it all). Lol... never would have imagined coming to N4G and seeing Patriots get as much hate as Xbox and Microsoft.
