Carles Puyol's announcement that he was ending his more than 20-year association with Barcelona came in the wake of Andoni Zubizarreta's dismissal, but one thing had nothing to do with the other. The ex-defender had long intended to try his hand at working as an agent, and is also set to branch out into other lines of football and club-related business.
