RUMOR: Splatoon Could Have A Retro 2D Game Included

"You see the picture above? It’s from Splatoon’s debut from way back when. Though at first it wasn’t thought of much, if at all, a keen-eyed Neogaf user spotted something interesting during the recent Nintendo Direct.

See that in the background? It seems to be an arcade machine showing a similar screen to the earlier image. Though still conjecture at this time, it may be that we’ll get to play what Splatoon would have been like 25 years ago on those arcades ourselves. What do you think of this rumor? Sound off below! "

Cool! I love it when games add little extras like this (like the Captain Qwark game for Ratchet and Clank). Maybe you'll unlock something good for playing through it.

Reminds me of the captain quark game from Crack in Time, a friend and i actually spent a good hour playing it lol. Also the lost viking retro spaceshooter in SC2.
