Really? I just don't see it as exciting. There are so many other games I want to play in 2015. Dying Light isn't even on my radar.

It looks so awesome and fast paced. I love the way the movement works and of course I love Zombie games which might be a factor. Why dont you see it as exciting exactly?

I don't understand why people use linear like it's a completely terrible thing. Like no game has ever been linear and good.

Who cares if dying light is more "open"... By no means does that make it a good game.

I think I'm burned out on first person everything as well as zombies (or their like). It's just the formula is the same with different games, they just add one plot/play thing to make it different. Dying Light (hence the name) makes it harder when the sunlight is gone... that's its something different, but other than that, it looks like many other open map first person games.

There is a lot of interest in this game, I think for good reason. Lets hope it doesn't follow the same trend as a lot of AAA games last year that promise a lot but come out wanting and broken.

Oh i'm sure i will die many times and possibly have to restrain myself from throwing controllers (just remember the cost of them), my wife will refuse to be in the same room when i play this.

Man, I'm so excited about the game. It's just so many-layered. It can cater to almost any gamer - IF they enjoy zombies that is.

averagejoe26 I didn't say there's something wrong with linear, just that Dying Light offers a multilayered gaming experience.

Also, there's a lot more to Dying Light than its "open world" As the article states, that's just one of the seven features talked about.

guitarded77, fair enough. I have high hopes for Dying Light because of the parkour, SP as well as co-op modes, crafting, RPG elements, survival..

But, time will tell, it could just be another game that doesn't stand the test of time.

i loved dead island, but it got boring really quick, and i think it was because of how repetitive everything was, but hopefully this won't be, i dont get that sense at all when im looking at the videos, especially if you enjoy killing zeds.
