I bought this on steam, a while back. Its a sexy sim, for sure. I play with my XB360 controller and I must say, if you intend on getting this game and playing with a controller. Do yourself a favour and tweak the sensitivity of the steering. Its fidgetty getting the right settings but feel it as you go along ( I adjusted mines on the fly while doing time attack). dunno what its like with a steering wheel but I hear its good. I dont buy wheels. Takes up too much space and when I am gaming/chilling, I am far too lazy to pack it away. The controller works just fine though.

its awesome with a steering wheel. i also had the opportunity to play it on an oculus dk2 with the wheel and pedals etc. so, so, so awesome. such a great sim.

Occulus and a wheel does sound sick though!Wouldnt mind to try it out at least once.

Im only asking because im curious and have not tried VR but:

How long do you use the headset for?

any weird after use side effects ( nausea, disorientation, vertigo, etc) ?

I ask out of curiosity.

So my experiences with it were really great. The one thing that is a bit of a bummer is the resolution of the hardware itself. You do see a little bit of stippling effect in the pixels. Aside from that, its a fantastic experience. The head tracking is dead accurate. When racing you have a tendency to look at the windows and gauges etc like you do in real life, which adds so much to the realism of things... probably more than just having tighter graphics alone would provide... something about the movement is so natural. I did get slightly nauseous with it but not too bad. Elite Dangerous made me entirely nauseous but at the same time it too was freaking awesome. I'm told that they are coming up with things in future software and hardware that will help minimize the motion sickness if you are sensitive to it, though i have no idea what those tweaks would be. maybe something to do with physical spatial tracking?

A space game, like Elite in VR gives me the chills. I am lil bit jelly! :)

Cool.
Add PSVR2 support to ACC and I might play it.

ApocalypseShadow767d ago

Same. Good sales. But if they are smart, they'll release a VR update on console for PS VR 2. Get more sales. More money.

TheColbertinator767d ago

Impressive series and well known for being challenging

ChiefofLoliPolice767d ago

Jesus really? Damn I didn't know Assetto Corsa was that popular. Now that I look at the sales numbers and the sheer about of mods for the PC version I guess I can see it now.

Obscure_Observer767d ago

Really impressive numbers.

There´re more racing simulators fans out there than most racing games studios acknowledges.

Wish AC1 was at least one X enhanced but it's only sold a lot because of its price
