Most Disappointing Game of 2014

gamrReview's Joseph Trotter: "Like realising that your blind date is Sarah Jessica Parker or Kevin Spacey when every other participant is Gwyneth Paltrow or Ryan Gosling, disappointing does not mean that something is necessarily bad (indeed it may be very good), just that it does not match the quality expected from an eager audience.

For gaming, much of this disappointment is self-inflicted. Publishers hype up expectations through grandiose claims and misleading trailers, only for this aggrandisement to ultimately be met by nonplussed gamers who feel that the product was mis-sold. At other times, it may just be that a game promised much but failed to deliver. A game that matches one person's expectations may massively disappointment another.
