2015′s 10 most exciting games
In an industry that is so dependent on marketing and the hype machine, game publishers want you to believe that every new year is set to be the medium’s best ever. From retailers bombarding you with pre order bonuses, gaming sites drowning you in epic trailers and publisher’s churning out waves of excitable PR, everything is spun in a way to make the consumer eager to part with more hard earned cash than they did the previous year.
Yet PR rhetoric and artificially generated hype aside, this year was surprisingly lacking in quality big budget releases. Coming off of the bat of two new console releases, 2014 saw many anticipated titles slipping into 2015 – resulting in a lot of disappointed next gen adopters and leaving Nintendo to pick up the slack. Luckily, this means that next year looks to boast what can only be described as one of gaming’s best ever.
