PSN's slow recovery from DDoS attacks highlights bigger problem

The DDoS attacks have been a major focus in the gaming industry lately. Though Sony and Microsoft have unfairly taken a lot of heat from grumpy gamers, it isn't always about the problem itself, but how the problem is handled. The recovery times of each respective gaming network may speak to a bigger problem for PlayStation than a few unhappy gamers.

All I care about is being able to game, when I want to game, and am irritated for all those affected by the outages. I have many reasons why I'm an xbox owner, but they are not to cast aspersions, at companies, or the people that stand behind its products. If you can't play when you want to, that just sucks. Period!

I am always online, and, with the rare exception, so is XBL. I thank Sony for making MS try harder, as should Sony fans for MS doing the same for Sony.

Bubble mate for the most unbiased comment I've heard in a while! These consoles were built for gaming online as well as offline, and when something/someone affects that, it's bad all around. No preference required!
