PS4 Conditions ‘Tougher’ in the US Following Xbox One Price Cut

While the PlayStation 4 continues to dominate in virtually every European territory apart from the UK, Sony suddenly finds itself in a precarious position in the United States. Following ten straight NPD victories, the Japanese giant lost to the Xbox One in November, after a “temporary” price cut put Microsoft’s machine back on top.

And speaking with Reuters, SCE chief Andrew House admitted that the climate has been “tougher” in the all-important nation of late. While the publication hasn’t provided a direct quote, the executive purportedly admitted that sales of its system are back in-line with expectations in December, but it’s clearly keeping a close eye on its Redmond competitor.
