Please not another FPS.

This might sound crazy (well thats because it is).

But am hoping its a JRPG. You never know. "Secret of Evermore" was a JRPG published by Square developed in the west

nucky642028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

no JRPG - I'm expecting much more than that from GG.

edit - no, ramma...did I say I wanted a FPS?? I'd rather they tried a 3rd person action game with rpg elements and a big open world and lots of exploration. the robotic dinos shown is some pics makes me think there could be a good story too, along with varied combat with a variety of weapons and maybe traps for the dinos? also,GG ability to create excellent visuals makes me excited at the world they could create - I think a JRPG is too limiting for their talent.

I think I will lose my mind and turn into this...

If all I have to play this gen is mainly FPS games

Abriael2028d ago

It's a RPG, of course it won't be a JRPG, since Guerrilla isn't JApanese.

Jamaicangmr2028d ago

it might be a DRPG then? lol!

Dark112028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

They most likely working on WRPG and we have seen the leaked pics and it looks amazing

btw why would want western dev to work on JRPG .. are people this desperate for JRPG? Wow.

Ranma12028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

Because theres a huge drought of JRPG's last gen compared to PS2 and PS1 gen.

I hope its not the same this gen

JimmyDM902028d ago

Surely Disgaea 5, Final Fantasy 15 and Persona 5 can tide you over.

NuggetsOfGod2028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

I think it will be an open world surviver shooter.
You will be able to switch between 1st and 3rd shooting.

Also what would a 2nd person shooter be?

DOMination-2028d ago

Controlling your character through the eyes of another one

guyman2028d ago

ask yourself this: How could Guerrilla games, a European studio, make a JRPG? unless you're thinking of turn-based combat.

And I'm sure misterxmedia will still cry downgrades

NuggetsOfGod2028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

As long as GG is not "aiming for 60fps in an open world" then probably no downgrades.

Seems consoles are not ready for 60fps open worlds.
These are the games that get downgraded.

Keep them games coming! I love new IPs!!

snookiegamer2028d ago

I have nothing but respect for Abriael. I think he works super hard doing what I believe he loves.

But, everything reported on Horizon so far is throw away at best. I'm sorry, but there's absolutely zero real information about the game itself ;/

xHeavYx2028d ago

Gotta get your clicks somehow.

WeAreLegion2028d ago

I totally agree, snookiegamer, but xHeavYx is right. The man has to make a living. People seem to gravitate toward stories like this.

-EvoAnubis-2028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

OMG, you mean the game will have in-engine cinematics!? Unbelieveable! What a new and previously inconceivable notion! Next you'll tell me that this game will use digital input via a secondary device to make on screen characters move and interact with their environment, or perhaps that this game will cause pixels on the television to light up, resulting in players being able to see the game in FULL COLOR!

In case I wasn't being sarcastic enough, let me say it in plain English: Posting all these completely obvious aspects of this game or any other one is extraordinarily annoying and a consummate waste of everyone's time. How these weak-ass non-stories keep get approved on N4G I'll never know.
