Twitter shuts down #LizardSquad – hackers behind Xbox Live & PSN take-downs

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been many service disruptions affecting Microsoft's Xbox Live and Sony's PSN in what is believed to be the result of massive DDoS attacks on these online gaming networks. Some of the outages lasted for hours as users couldn't stay connected to the servers or even get online at all.
