Most games have an option to lower the music, they should just let any game play your own music..

I guess they have to evaluate if it will be technically possible, and then if it is it will take some time to program and test. Dont expect to see this before next year. However im still very happy 2.40 is finally here. All the other stuff Sony can build on.

looks like they are working on it, we just have to wait, at least we are having some great features in this first patch and they already had said that they are planning and working on other features.

yeah thats the most disappointing news. However, they cant really do that until every developer is forced to add these features. So, hopefully within the next year we will have both of those.

Cross game invites was my most anticipated feature.

It means that you wont get credit for games that you have already beaten, the system will be active with your new forward progress, not backward progress.

I'm seeing the reasoning is so that you just couldn't load old saves from people online, and gain trophies for things you haven't done yet. To stop cheating.

becuase of those turds with no pride , we have to beat the ultra difficult games again ,which i thing is stupid since if u copy a file and then load it into other account the system tell u that since the data u load is form other system u wont be able to go online (i hasve tried it to play the last resistance leevl in superhuman so my cousin could get the skeleton face but it didnt work )

I'm a bit bummed out that all games won't be patched for custom soundtracks out of the gate, but oh well, in about 6 months it'll probably be standard that all games have custom soundtracks and trophies out of the box.

ask in the blog, if u have account, for retro-active trophies ,we gamer have spent alot of time doing crazy or almost impossible thing in games like finishing them in less than five hour or in extremely crazy difficulties and i think is fair for us to be recognize in a way .plz is for a just cause
and i cannot imagine my self finishing gta4 100 again or resistance in superhuman it was the most extrem dificulty i ve ever paly in a game (it took me three month to beat it !!!!three months¡¡¡¡ ¡¡¡¡

I don't think they should, while its annoying in the short run, it stop's people downloading game saves for the trophy points which is only a good thing

such thing doesnt work ,try it urself just do another user profile then create a new master account and as sonn as u try to copy a file from the original profial and then try to go online it will show a message which basically says "the data load ifs from other profile ,u wont be able toe online " and it goes offline which means since u arenot online u cannot get the trophy cause they are attach to ur online profile not to the user profile in the console

to encrypt game saves to the psn/account name (when an attempt to copy them has been made). That way if a gamesave that has been linked to another account is used on another ps3 the trophies wont be awarded on the latter. This way allows us to share saves as we could an nobody would have to worry about people riding others backs to obtain a felonious score

is it me, or do most of these highly anticipated features look like itll be a while before they're actually put to good use?...i mean in-game music looks awesome BUTTTTT...we're not going to be able to use it until these lazy developers release a patch to enable to feature??...and the same goes wit trophies....etc.....

But I think 1st party devs/Exclusives would be first out the box mostly likey with patches before E3. So games like Uncharted, Resistance, Heavenly Sword should get patches soon hopefully.

Also hoping for an update to GT5 Prologue with some new race events and trophies

I think what needs to be "patched" are the games that don't include the option to turn off the soundtrack of the game. You can't play music if the other music that plays won't turn off. The option to patch custom soundtracks into your game has ALWAYS been there and has been included in games like super stardust and high velocity bowling.

Glad they put this up. It answered all the questions I had.

Though I'm not to happy about messaging only being in text. I hate typing I always have and always will. That's why most of my comments here are short and to the point. And its the main reason I don't play PC games. I also don't feel I should have to use a keyboard when I'm on a console.

Anyways its good to see the ground work is done. Now the rest of the features can be patched in at later date. Until then, Live will be where I go for online gaming.

Well, 2.4 is almost here, and I couldn't be happier. Please people, try to be happy and enjoy what they've given us, rather than worrying over the features that aren't there yet.

If you start looking forward to the stuff that isn't included with 2.4 before 2.4 even comes out, then you'll be in for a long and frustrating wait.

Sorry Sony but you fail. I've been a Sony fan since the PS1 but I'm getting bored with that stupid "waiting game". Hello, wake the f|_|ck up, the PS3 is like 1.7 years old.
