Eric Lempel writes:

"Hi again! It's great to see the positive reaction to the unveiling of system software update v2.40. We can't wait for you to finally go hands-on with XMB access in-game and the Trophy system – and it's less than 2 days away. Not surprisingly, a number of you have posed questions both here and on other forums. Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions."

rickjames5791d ago

Condoleezza Rice5791d ago

It's coming out in less than 2 days!

How do you not know that? Wednesday.

iamtehpwn5791d ago (Edited 5791d ago )

I must say it was lacking some of the features I wanted right now. Like In-game music =|

FW2.40 only opens the possibility not the actuality of in-game music =|

BulletToothtony5791d ago

why the hell would a dev add the feature to let someone play their own music.. what do they care...

This is stupid.. they should've just allow you to play your own music, like in cod4...

I've been waiting for this thing since launch and is not right that they barely did a patch and let the developers take care of it..

Most games have an option to lower the music, they should just let any game play your own music..

I mean so far only PixelJunk monster had it... that's bullcrap

ZOMG NO NOISE WHEN YOU GET A TROPHY!!!!! MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT

in the future, i hope we get to customize the noise made- i will have the whole moon-landing speech play when i get a trophy, with a few changes

"one small trophy for me, one.... giant leap to getting to the next level"

those guys seem to have a truckload of evaluating to do

Lucreto5791d ago

I hope you can choose the sound when you get the trophies in the future. I would pick the victory Fanfare from Final Fantasy 8 or 9.

ice_prophecy5791d ago

lol me too! Or the FF7 Boss Music!

Silogon5791d ago (Edited 5791d ago )

No way, I'd have the Flag pole theme from super mario bros, man! complete with Fireworks to boot.

youngmoney105791d ago

I'm Rich *****!
That would be freakin' hilarious and would go perfect with the trophies and point system.

..private voice chat???That's going to be the next mos requested feature filling up the blogs.

alakazzam5791d ago (Edited 5791d ago )

someone wise once said you can please everyone all the time. how true. too the person below. not necessarily, it depends on how requested it is and stuff, im sure they will do it though.

gambare5791d ago

well... at least they were honest about they being evaluating that for a near future, that means it will come.

resistance1005791d ago

Evalutating also means see how they could do it.

Still at least we know they are thinking about it

Andronix5791d ago

I guess they have to evaluate if it will be technically possible, and then if it is it will take some time to program and test. Dont expect to see this before next year. However im still very happy 2.40 is finally here. All the other stuff Sony can build on.
Wednesday = Good news!

This game deserves a remaster for current consoles. It was awesome on PS3.
