Insurgency Beta 2.1 RC release imminent

Arguably one of the best looking and popular source mods to date, Insurgency:Modern Infantry Combat is about to receive a much anticipated update. Insurgency Beta 2.1 is set to be the final release of INS on the HL2 Source Engine. INS 3.0 will use the new Orange Box Engine.

The 2.1 RC will feature many new improvements and fixes.

*Four new maps:

– ins_abdallah (pre-beta)

– ins_buhriz (beta)

– ins_haditha night

– ins_samawah day

*Modular weapon accuracy modifier has been implemented.

*Improved server stability.

*Improved movement system:

– Reload while sprinting.

– Strafe while sprinting.

– Walking, leaning and aiming (at the same time) is now possible.
