Today is the 31st birthday of the Konami Code. The memorable cheat first appeared in 1986's Gradius and has been a fixture of games ever since. Here are ten great uses of this legendary code.
Game Idealist takes a look at the best non Metal Gear games that Hideo Kojima has worked on in his career in the gaming industry.
i remember watching my dad play snatcher when i was really little. i wish they'd remaster it or make more games like it now.
Hardcore Gamer: Produced by Hideo Kojima, Boktai was released ten years ago today for the Game Boy Advance and had players take the role of a vampire hunter named Django as he fired sun bolts at enemies. The cartridges came with a photometric light sensor that measured the amount of sunlight exposed to it and charged the weapon accordingly.
I remember playing Boktai on gameboy. Pretty crazy game, loved it none the less. Hopefully they revive the series, twas a fun game. Even the manga was a great read. Also, crazy note, Kojima himself penned the story for the manga.
Can we PLEASE see this series continue on 3DS or something? I loved all four games with a passion.
Noooooooooooooo! I really wanted another Boktai game!!!!!
*Googles Boktai*
Good. He should be working on a Snatcher reboot.
You'd think he'd give it a go, what with mobile games being such a big deal. Put that thing on 3DS and you're golden, sir.
Nooooooooooooooo I really wanted another boktai game. I loved the first 2 and am sad the 3rd never came stateside. Lunar knights was fun, but couldn't replace boktai ultimately.... TAIYOOOOOOOHHHH!
The Boktai franchise was so unique, and still holds much potential; it had very innovative ideas, great storyline and lore, ect. The three on GBA, along with Lunar Knights on DS are among my favorite handheld games!
