Well clearly the gamers have spoken

Ubisoft fix your game

Good, hopefully next years is worse so we can finally get a Prince of Persia 08 sequel or maybe a 3D platformer game with Rayman 4

Prince of Persia
Beyond Good and Evil
Rayman (3D games would be a nice change)
Red Steel (A reboot maybe)
More South Park games
Child of Light full on sequel (maybe 3D who knows)
New Far Cry games

Then you have new IPs like

The Crew
Watch Dogs
The Division

Once they've gotten through most of that, maybe an old IP like Rayman or Prince of Persia in Summer and then a newer IP like WatchDogs in the Holidays, they can do an Assassins Creed reboot, starting from scratch with similar themes but no modern day crap.

Seems like a good idea as it mixes things up.

Only way we are going to get that is by making ourselves heard and stop buying AC games at launch.

UltimateMaster3863d ago

I feel bad for those 780k buyers.

DarkOcelet3862d ago

Yeah, what the hell happened with Beyond Good and Evil 2. The more i want it, the more i am afraid i will hate it. I dont trust Ubi with it, they will fill it with crappy repetitive stuff and might add microtransactions and offcourse a $hitty multiplayer. Sigh

Feralkitsune3862d ago

I think I'm the only one who liked the modern day stuff in AC when it was about the Assassins and Templars. when they started adding aliens and shit is when it got weird for me.

AngelicIceDiamond3862d ago

@Fox Absolutely not Ubisoft's not touchin Beyond Good And Evil sequel or reboot.

They went big with Farcry that's great but what about their other 2 games?

Yeah W/L ratio is 1W 2L

It's still not enough IMO, until devs remember that we hold all the power gaming will suffer.

r1sh123862d ago (Edited 3862d ago )

Im one of those who purchased it on PC -- day one.
To be honest Ive never really had a day one game go this bad, fortunately I was refunded by amazon who let me keep the game due to me being a prime member and a lengthy compliant email.
I suspect many of the people who did get a refund from the store, the store did not get their money back from ubi :/

The issue for me is the next gen so far has been about releasing unfinished games.
Watch dogs might have sold well but it was a pretty boring game IMO.

Same goes for assassins creed, i have been a big fan on the series but this game has ensured I never buy any more games from the series.
It was a proper old school type of game, where it was always about the story but then they killed off a main character and had no idea where to take the story...

You know this is the case, because the CEO of ubi said "We know how the game ends" but he then changed that to "We know where the story is going"
Its clear the shareholders just said forget where it ends, just rape everyones wallets.
Hence the Unity story line being so horrible.

If we look at Ubis latest releases:
Watchdogs
The Crew
Assassins Creed Unity
Far Cry 4

All 4 were released with bugs and this is why Im not buying Ubi games.
EA is the same story, I will let day one buyers become the QA process from now on.

In the EU/UK we are lucky that legislation is coming to address this, where companies will be fined for releasing buggy games

Makes it hard to judge your opinion of the technical quality of the game without knowing all the details of your PC. I've been reading the comments of many articles about AC Unity and most people, regardless of platform, claim to be having minor problems. I have to suspect that your PC needs upgrading for this game.

r1sh123862d ago

@311v - Errm my specs
i7-4770k
16GB ram
GTX 760 x2 (4GB version)..

Defo do not need to improve, and the game should run at 60fps 1080p...
Far cry 4 runs @ 120 fps atm

starchild3862d ago

First of all, VGChartz.. really?

Second of all, most PC games are sold digitally and VGChartz definitely doesn't have those numbers, so whoever thought the whole "PC version sold just 36,777 units" line was a good idea needs to go rethink things.

WitWolfy3862d ago (Edited 3862d ago )

WTF are you talking about??? Thats a pretty decent figure for a game that released a week ago. Some games end up seliing up to 3 million copies in its life time.

N311V3862d ago

Those numbers, if true but I suspect they're an understatement, are pretty good. AC Unity is a great game that in reality has only minor bugs, no more than typical. Goes to show that word of mouth matters more than the click hungry gaming media when people consider a purchase.

Not big sales it seen from the pass but i'm a fan and I'm having fun with it.

My weapon of choice is a the long weapon.

KnightRobby3862d ago

HEAVY WEAPONS FTW! It has it's problems, still fun, but don't do it again Ubisoft. Ever.

starchild3862d ago

I haven't had any real issues with the PC version other than occasionally glitchy NPCs. I'm having a lot of fun with the game too.

WitWolfy3862d ago

Here here!!! The funny thing is all these haters who dont even own the game act like the game is unplayable and broken beyond repair.

It isnt that bad. Sure some of the NPC are kinda glitchy and frames drop from time to time. But its a fantastic game. easy 8.5/10 IMO.

bazinga_913862d ago

How many have returned it back?

xActionBasturdx3862d ago

I guess those numbers are good...quite frankly i didnt expect it it sell that much

PaleMoonDeath3862d ago

And 780'000 of us are wondering why the game runs like sewage pipe.

Not finishing it until it's fixed, GTA5 for now.

I Played Assassin’s Creed Unity Almost 10 Years Later. It’s (Kinda) Spectacular

Shaz from GL writes: "Assassin’s Creed Unity is looked at as one of the worst in Ubisoft’s iconic franchise. But playing it nearly 10 years later reveals it may just be the best"

Do the NPCs still randomly levitate every now and then? Even years later I noticed they hadn't patched that out

Honestly I loved the PS4 ACs. I'd love next gen ports of Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate

Why Assassin’s Creed Unity remains one of the best games in the series

GF365: "Since the first Assassin’s Creed game, there have been entries up until now. There are more than a few titles that are far from an ideal stealth game. Let’s discuss why 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity is one of the best games in the series."

Glitchy as hell and flat story, nah this aint it. AC2, brotherhood and 4 were amazing games in every respective

Furesis941d ago

Yeah i would say brotherhood and 4 were the best for me. I have not played the new ones and Unity was my last one. Seems like i made a good choice.

DarXyde941d ago

I gave up after Revelations. Just couldn't bring myself to care anymore and I got burned out of the gameplay.

Definitely agree on 2 and Brotherhood though. Great games.

YourMommySpoils941d ago

A Ubisoft AC game that's not glitchy? That will be the day.

Knightofelemia941d ago

After constant glitches Arno being boring nah I am good I skipped Unity. I will always like the Ezio trilogy, Black Flag, Rogue, Odyssey, Syndicate. I use to love the franchise but now it feels stale and boring. But my list of favorite entries into the franchise will vary from other players favorite entries.

RaidenBlack941d ago

Odyssey is a really well-made RPG game ... but it ain't a proper AC game, even though its part of the lore

ToddlerBrain941d ago

It’s funny because, at launch, it was universally panned for being unplayable. It’s a great game that holds up today. I’m glad they fixed it.

staticall941d ago

The only good things i remember from Unity are pretty graphics and really good descending mechanics (even though it sometimes didn't make much sense, when your character can drop down from like 10 meter height onto a flagpole perfectly).

Game is glitchy to this day, i was playing in it years after the release date (with all the DLCs) and it's still broken. You had to reload missions too often for my taste (characters do not spawn, you fall through the floor, getting stuck in falling/sitting/aiming animation, hidden blade stop working, assassination target running away at the start of the mission). Story was meh, searching for all the treasures wasn't enjoyable at all. Coop was pretty much useless, i've beaten every coop mission in solo. Helix rifts were awful as well.

Not saying i hate this game or anything, but it got too many problems.

Assassin's Creed (i know it's a controversial opinion) and Assassin's Creed 2 are still great to this day.

anast941d ago

Unity was okay. I prefer Syndicate and Origins.
