Stylised like an 80's direct to video film, Nightcrawler glares into the gloomy urban setting of LA to bring out the worst of humanity as we sleep. This isn't just a thriller about the misrepresentation of the media and it's desperate mission to scare the viewing public. It's a character study on the desires to achieve the American Dream at the sacrifice of our human personality. It's haunting, it's thought-provoking, but it's missing something.
