The GCE writes: "With an interesting set up, slick looking production (for this kind of film especially) and fun first five minutes, I had what could only be described as unrealistic hopes for this movie. Well, reality soon set in and The Town That Dreaded Sundown embraced all the slasher and horror clichés with enthusiastic abandon but nothing could save it from its boring script and laughable dialogue."
