Man, I lost a hell of a lot of respect for Colbert.

AngelicIceDiamond1451d ago

I still have respect for him its just that he doesn't know all the lies she makes.

I don't think colbert understands our hobby enough to know better.

zeal0us1450d ago

Well the show is more about political satire than gaming ethnics. So I expected this to happen.

Did anyone honestly think he would've came out in support of gamergate and called her out?

Septic1450d ago

Sorry what did she tear down?

When the opportunity arose to give specific examples of games that are sexist she just backed away?

HammadTheBeast1450d ago

I didn't see any "tearing down". All I saw was Anita struggling to answer basic questions, she couldn't point out 3 games when directly asked.

Colbert is whatever, he was trying to question her, but not thoroughly because he doesn't have a clue.

The main problem is the whole posse Anita brought along who wouldn't stfu.

ThatOneGuyThere1450d ago

you respected him? man.. sorry to hear that.

viperman2401450d ago

Tell me about it, this is coming from the dude who said this.

So I would have honestly thought he would have seen through her agenda.

BattleTorn1450d ago

Well, he did..... satirically.

rainslacker1450d ago

I still respect him because he has a huge body of impressive work that is worthy of respect.

I am disappointed in this interview though. The principals behind GG are what Colbert has made his living off of for over a decade now. He's not prone to shy away from unethical behavior in journalism...hell it's the entire premise of his show.

I dunno, maybe he's afraid that if he does address the actual issue's and calls out the feminist on their BS, that it will hurt his new gig with CBS at the start of the year. I'm sure the last thing that CBS wants is a person who is being touted as anti-feminist, and it's only 2 months away for that job to start. If that is the case, then I would lose respect for him, because he's never backed down from any issue because it may bring some controversy his way.

Well this is... Disappointing... As said above, I really like Colbert but lost some respect for him after this.

This was hilarious.

Anita Sarkeesian: Profession: Victim

Stephen Colbert: Actor - As far as colbert - he doesn't do any sort of investigative work - I was listening to a podcast of him talking about his workday. In order to have more improv moments he doesn't "study" - obviously

Spotie1450d ago

Since you've been someone I've seen supporting the type of ignorance Sarkeesian promotes, I'm not at all surprised.

lreyna1450d ago

Forgive me for supporting the idea of women being treated equally in video games. How silly of me.

SegaGamer1450d ago

Whenever there is a big boobed women, the is always some huge man made of muscle. I just gave you some equality, if you had actually been paying attention over the years you would have noticed it.
