PSP update v4.01 very soon

Playstation Blog: "Hey everyone, here's a quick heads up that a new PSP system software update, v4.01, will be released soon. This minor update includes the following:

* Display of search results under Internet Search has been improved for certain languages.
* Playback of video content under Video has been improved for certain file types.

Look for this update to become available during the next few hours."

I can't imagine this is going to happen, but why not just make everyone happy and "improve" the video playback to include a certain file type (cough..DivX) that everyone is just hoping for? You'd gain a lot of appreciation for such a move.

DivX is really the only needed update for the PSP, besides of course more "security" crap to kick out the modders (Which it's more likely too late to do).

PSP always wins by releasing updates first, however the PS3 updates always out-do the PSP with better features added.

Improvements to video playback is always a worthwile improvement, if you think long and hard the psp has only 2 main uses Games and Movie playback.

In regards to certain file types just use any program to re-encode a movie to a file type the PSP accepts, no need to ever wait. The enventual inclusion of those file types just means no more need to re-encode.
