Everyone heard the new yesterday that the Xbox One is receiving a $50 price cut for the holiday. There is no doubt that it will have a ripple effect on the purchase plans of many parents, but it wont just be a price cut that has people clamoring for the Xbox One over the PlayStation 4. For Sony, while they had a great run out of the gate and impressive, even unprecedented, sales to start the console cycle the lack of games is beginning to hurt. What used to be dominated by Sony in terms of exclusive titles has fallen by the way side and the system is looking into the teeth of the likes of games like Sunset Overdrive, the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Quantum Break, and Halo 5.
Codemasters has unveiled a series of massive changes to the Career Mode in F1 24. Players will finally be able to play as a current superstar.
Bandai Namco have announced a console and PC game of the Tensura series - that of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles.
Wrath: Aeon of Ruin has come about via some old classical inspiration. If you liked Quake, DOOM, Hexen or the like, then you're going to love this as it blasts onto Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
Lol, it's not all about exclusives you know, COD, LBP3, AC:Unity, GTA5, Farcry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Crew.
Sony's 2015 line-up is out of this world as well, The Order, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky, Wild plus a handful more.
Judging from game sales this year so far, the PS4 has always fared better with multiplats and will continue to do so.
ey Sony doesnt have to do much, they've released pretty much nothing and its selling like hotcakes.
what makes you think thats going to change?
all they have to do this holiday is offer a cheap GTA V bundle for $400 and be set.
What kind of fight? A sissy slap match? Rock'em Sock'em Robots? Karate Fighters? Thumb wars? HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS???
This opinion piece is interesting. If we’re gonna talk about exclusives then you need to make note of the games that are ONLY on Xbox One and vice versa for the Playstation 4. It will surprise you that doing so will lead you with more exclusives on the Playstation 4 system. If you want to branch it out and include cross generation games; Playstation 4 still has a good lineup and more games thus far. I personally feel the last push for a boost in sales this holiday will be between CoD:AW, Halo: MCC, and the GTA5/LB3 releases coming out in November and December.
As far as Microsoft’s different selection of consoles; All of them are appealing. When I watched the video with Yusif and Phil talking about the different selections and the price drop, i was impressed. Microsoft is making many moves that cater for the gamer that makes it difficult not to buy their X1 this holiday. We still have November and December left in 2014. It will be a bloodbath. I’m interested to see what move Microsoft and Sony will make on BlackFriday.

"While many called out Microsoft early on because of the $100 price discrepancy between the two with the decision for Microsoft to include the Kinect no one wanted, Sony now must be the one facing the scrutiny for the higher prices and lack of offers."

"Instead, they will find a response, but should that response not come soon their large gap in sales differentials will be seeing a heavy blow during the holidays. The biggest thing Sony must do is give people a reason again to buy a PlayStation 4 over the Xbox One."

"Microsoft wasn’t ever going to just roll over in the console war. They were never going to just pave the way for Sony to a monopoly. They were just simply biding their time, and learning from their mistakes. They have owned each and everyone of them, and like everything in the news, people have forgotten most of what put them in the hole to begin with."
