I'm Deleting Xbox Music, And It's Time You Did The Same

NowGamer: "My relationship with Xbox Music over the year has been difficult.

As soon as the Xbox One assaulted my living room and made a strong claim for the input one slot on my television last November, I felt like I’d run out of options.

With no Spotify app available on the console, and with everything in my life synchronised around the playback time of albums, the idea of a unified service across all of my home and mobile devices was too great to ignore."

Funnily enough this is a similar experience I had with Music Unlimited. Its app is awful. The website works flawlessly and it works extremely well through the walkman app but the dedicated apps are just atrocious. It kept crashing, it wouldn't load. This is what happens when companies don't bother but have the service anyway.

I feel the reason why Spotify and Google music offering are the way to go is because they can be bothered to make sure it works.

Yeah, but you dealt with it and made your own decisions. You didn't make an "article" about it.

* It Appears as though the person who wrote this filth was too embarrassed by their terrible writing to even associate themselves with it and forgot to list their name and take credit for this "beautiful" article.

Only if you allow them to. It's partnership, not who dominates who!

DNLA streaming ...problem solved

matt1393472d ago

The only thing is you have to download the music first as opposed to using a music app if that makes sense.

OC_MurphysLaw3472d ago

Yes that makes sense. My library is big enough it's a good option for me.

Ive never had an issue with Zune or xbox music. I have had a Zune/music pass for about 4 or 5 years now and never had an issue with it. Yes there were some things missing when it went from zune to xbox music but what I used has never been missing as I don't use play lists.

I use the service on my Zune, Windows Phone, Xbox one and Surface 2.

It think its each to there own as for me I like NowTV over Lovefilm and Netfilx. I also thought that Microsoft has released an update that lets you use xbox music on xbox one and play a game at the same time without the app being snapped? I maybe wrong as I have never tried but ill have a look tonight.

The phone app is pretty darn good. I love the fact you can store your music on the additional memory chip, and you don't have to fill the internal memory chip with your music, like other music apps have to. Could it be better? Yes, I feel that they don't give enough space for new and up coming artists unless they are top 30 artists. No metal sub-genre to search for. But I agree the X1 app is just atrocious!

mcstorm3472d ago

I don't even download my music onto my phone I just use the could storage and have 4G and apart from once on a train ive never had an issue streaming.

Like I say its each to there own but for me ive never had an issue with xbox music app it also seems to have all the bands I like but I have had to buy a few like coldplay but im happy to buy an album every now and again.
