An objective look at the early access of Empyrion: Galactic Survival along with some personal thoughts. Jordan says "I’ve played my fair share of survival games and have a few favorites of my own, such as Planet Explorers, and because of that Empyrion just felt the same and boring to me. This doesn’t mean the game is bad, just that the game is still early in development to have anything unique feeling about it to me. The main thing that I didn’t like about the game was that survival isn’t balanced yet due to the fact that enemies come too early before you’re ready to deal with them. It is a good thing for survival to have challenge, but the reason that enemies are a problem is that collecting resources to create a base and other things are too far spread out on planets, and certain planets have the basic materials on opposite ends, so you’re spending more time moving around than actually doing anything."
