COG was recently invited to a closed beta event for the upcoming free-to-play horror shooter F.E.A.R. Online. The newest entry in the horror series takes place after the events of F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin and has you battling terrifying creatures with friends.

Nowcom has decided to push back the Closed Beta date for F.E.A.R: Origin Online to the last week of December. The game was scheduled to enter its CBT on Nov.22nd, yet the feedback from the players during G-Star made the develop team decide to make some changes to "up the game's fear factor" -- yes, the delay was due to the online shooter not being "scary" enough.
What a Rush job! I had NO Clue about this game!
I'm sure they saw Warface, Tribes:Ascend, Blacklight:Retribution, Planetside 2, Firefall, and Hawken and then said "Shhhhhhhhh-eet we better go back to the drawing board"
Take your time cause competition is really STEEP in the FPS genre....Oh and F.E.A.R. Origin Looks like complete CRAP compared to the games I just listed!
F.E.A.R: Origin Online, developed by Inplay Interactive, will be going into Closed Beta come 22nd November and a demo was playable over at G*Star 2012. A co-op effort with IP owner, Warner Brothers, the game has a mix of PvE and PvP modes, although in my point of view, the PvE co-op mode will be the main star of the game. Remember little Alma? She is now back, and online… Scary stuff. Powered by the Jupiter EX engine and Havok physics, F.E.A.R: Origin Online is an adult-only title in Korea.
