Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Review - Gameinformer

"Nintendo’s decision to put Smash Bros. on the 3DS struck me as an exceptionally weird move, even for a company that pressed its beloved characters into mortal combat in the first place. Smash is, after all, an over-the-top social game that’s almost as enjoyable to watch as it is to play. Where’s the fun in hunching over a pair of tiny screens, flicking away at that weird analog stub with aching hands? Well, I’m big enough to admit when I’m wrong. Super Smash Bros. has KO’d my assumptions and renewed my enthusiasm for the series."

Playing Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS in 2021

Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "The release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch made playing Smash 4, on either system a thing of the past. But for today’s piece, I wanted to revisit the 3DS version of the previous generation of Smash Bros., to see how it holds up and see if time has changed my opinion on the first portable Smash Bros. game."

Been playing Smash Bros. since the original came out and this is one list I can whole heartedly agree on.

Kinda interested in the game (Switch), but its consistently high price combined with 2 equally expensive Season Passes means I’ll probably never get to own/play it.

Most likely they'll release a deluxe edition for the Switch 2 cause they've shown no interest in re-releasing any of their games with dlc in "complete edition"s. But having to buy another Nintendo console wouldn't really be a good solution either.

Yi-Long1006d ago

They might, but I assume just re-releasing this game on next gen will get the existing fans angry, who would prefer a completely new Smash game (like they’re upset about there not being a new Mario Kart this gen).

Seeing how very few Switch games I actually bought, because of those high prices by Nintendo, I also doubt I’d invest in a new console from Nintendo.

@Yi-Long,

I would kill for a new Mario Kart, 8 isn't bad by any stretch, but it doesn't make the best of the Switch's capabilities, although I pretty excited for that new Mario Party. I do own quite a few Switch games, but I'd own more if the games weren't so expensive, it they're not Nintendo exclusive I end up buying elsewhere.

What a shit list of games. There is a good one here or there, but damn

Storm231324d ago

There are actually a ton of good games that are pre-owned at 29.99 or less if you search the site. Weird the games they included in the advert but bunch of others available for that price and they all work if under 30. Just search pre-owned games on your platform and most are already under 30.

Okay, I missed tgat. Thank you

Before this week they had an even better deal buy 6 games and get 50 percent off the entire price. Luckily i took major advantage of that and picked up some really good games while that deal was on. Also just took advantage of this offer too though to fill in games i have been meaning to pick up and just haven't.

My backlog is too much as it is. I’m actually happy I didn’t catch that deal lol.
