CoD titles being yearly is just like Assassin's Creed titles being yearly.

Both Ubisoft and Activision employ enough studios and man power that they can pump out yearly games.

First of all...Not the same engine, It's a custom built engine by Sledgehammer...This is Sledgehammers first CoD.
Second of all.... same hyped up trailer? What do you think marketing a game is?

I'm probably not buying CoD AW since Halo MCC will be consuming MOST of my time for November, but if you're going to smash on a game...Do a bit of research.
People wonder why the Souls fanbase gets shit for everything...They open their mouths without understanding what they're saying. (Yes that's a standard for most Souls fans)

I'm a fan of the Souls games, but it's morons like this guy that give the fanbase a really bad name.

Yes LOTS of Souls fans are total morons, it's becoming more and more apparent as they're totally oblivious to other games but will praise a game with NUMEROUS faults and call it a "10/10" experience.

I was in the camp of hating a yearly cod but after the mess that was ghosts and playing the fun but broken Blops 2 for two years, I'm so ready for this and the no Exo playlist.

Yaaaaay we get to fight the exact same enemies as all the other modes! So glad we aren't fighting against something unique from the rest of the game like creepy cyborgs hell bent on destroying humanity or anything like that...

This is not the same survival mode from MW3. That one was broken. This is 4 players rather than 2, more enemy variety, rewards, upgrades, it doesn't make you run across the map, and it doesn't end when a person dies and make you completely start over.

Wow a generic hoard mode. MW3 survival mode was so boring after Black Op's Zombie modes now we have another year of CoD with a lackluster Co-Op mode. Hugely disappointing.

I have to agree. I'm all for variety, but I truly do not see the allure of JRPGs. I just cannot get behind the characters, story, any of it. To each his own though.

Then how do you get behind generic western games???? The allure of jrpg's for me despite their obvious faults and quirks is that they're such a wonderful break from the onslaught of western shooters and action games and yearly franchises we all get in North America and Europe. It's nice to play something different that doesn't have as much exposure to the point it isn't oversaturating the market, making jrpg's feel much more special. If jrpg's were as common here as yearly franchises with no innovation and first person shooters, then sure they'd get stale, but they're not very common. That is the allure. Sorry people don't want to have some sort of break from the saturation of terrible western franchises such as Call of Duty, which in turns influences other games and they end up diminishing their quality because they want to capture the same audience Call of Duty does.

I hope they include Co-op missions and split screen. This alone would be a poor excuse for co-op. I also hope this time around they offer local 4 split screen battles, a feature sorely missed in ghosts

Zombies mode is great. I might be alone on this, but I kind of wish there were some sort of alternate zombie mode where you can survive, or at least make it a little easier to survive longer. I know the whole idea is teamwork and coming up with a strategy, but I cannot always have a solid team, and sometimes I wish I could play a little bit longer. Not to mention, I am more MP focused, and it kinda sucks that often times I am lucky to get 10 to 20 mins in before it's all over.

I was sort of hoping sledgehammer was gonna do a little dead space/zombie mash up kind of mode. They have the experience with survival horror. I guess they needed to focus more on the rest of the game. Exo survival seems ok, but I don't know that I'll spend much time with it.

I was hoping for some player vs. Terminator style machines :/ the futuristic setting would really fit with this. Missed opportunity. Still probably getting this for the multiplayer. Ive skipped a few of them now so I really hope this is just as good as mw2.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the series' lone bright spot this gen

I quite enjoyed it but I think black ops 3 was the high point.

Modern warfare could be if a few tweaks are made and the new maps are good.

I quit that campaign after about an hour. All I remember is some crappy robot drone combat R2D2 thing that you had to use. I didn't make it past that.

For me the Black Ops installations have always been the high peaks in terms of PVP mode. Black ops 3 campaign was pretty bad though. Advanced Warfare's campaign was pretty good, one of the best ones - but PVP was bad!

This is one of the few I never got to play the SP on. Redbox’d ut. Multiplayer was done if the worse I’ve ever played. Maps were bad. I’ll have to go back and at least give the story a go

It's too bad the game is impossible to find games on with Xbox One and PC. It is my favorite one this generation. I love it so much! But... no one plays it. So it makes it difficult to continue enjoying it :(

Great campaign, great zombie mode, and an okay multiplayer mode. Most of the multiplayer maps looked great, but I only liked 50% of them, due to the way they tried to force verticality into the gameplay. The limited edition Advanced Warfare Xbox One was a pretty slick looking console too.

I thought the campaign was a great comeback after ghosts but the mp bored me to tears.

It was also the beginning of the end for future warfare cod games at this point I didn't want blops3 because I just spent a year running around with the exosuit I wanted something new but it began a trend aw, blops3, iw before we finally got WW2 which was actually my highlight this gen as far as cod goes.

To top it off aw locked it's zombies mode behind a paywall which I found disgusting

Negative. Advanced Warfare sucked. And what do you mean "Ghosts didn't do anything new with mp"? It did a plenty new. It introduced “special orders” and completing them during a match would sometimes completely change the terrain of the battlefield.

I think on an overall level sure.

Blops 3 had better MP but the campaign was messy
Modern Warfare's MP has issues as i understand it but the campaign was spectacular
IW MP was crud but i highly enjoyed the campaign
Blops 4 had great MP but no campaign
Ghosts was average in both

I think AW at the very least has a solid campaign and solid MP but it's not the best in those individual areas.

I liked Infinite Warfare much better and honestly its weird for to back to this game, I enjoyed it quite a bit back when it released but considering what we now know about Kevin Spacey (an actor who I admired greatly) I don't think I can ever play it again.

Game is underrated. The campaign had a lot of clever, detailed map design to flow with the abilities of the various exo suits. The characters and story were pretty good too, and I was sad the game ended so soon right when things got crazy as hell at the climax. I think a sequel would've been made if so many people didn't complain about the advanced movement that they couldn't/wouldn't adapt to.
