Anomaly 2 for PS4 Review | Entertainment Buddha
11-bit Studios made waves in the tower defense video game genre with its Anomaly Warzone Earth, which flipped the classic tower defense gameplay formula on its head by making the player the mobile offensive force, rather than the traditional stationary defensive force. Thanks to the success of the original game a sequel was released last year for mobile devices and PC that built upon the gameplay of the first game, while adding in a new multiplayer mode. Anomaly 2 went on to perform quite well, so a plan was set in motion to release the game for the PS4 in 2014 to give console gamers a chance to test their real time strategy skills on Sony’s next-gen system. This version of the game released last week for a modest $15 investment, and while it maintains the excellent gameplay found in the mobile and PC versions, the whole “Full HD” monicker for the PS4 release seems to be a bit of a lofty claim.
