FIFA 15: Review - No No No Not In My Goal - PS4.sx

"This year's FIFA 15 is all about player intuition. EA has even gone as far as creating a new artificial intelligence system where players can now shout out in frustration, celebrate a winning goal and throw tantrums just like real life players do in football, but with all this extra care and attention to feelings and emotions we take a deeper look to see what else has really changed since FIFA 14." Its a beautiful game. The Ultimate Team expansion with new retro players is my favorite upgrade to the series.

EA are only enjoying all this attention because Konami didn't launch PES 14, I think they made the best decision to take their time and create a game real football fans of the series will respect. EA has always felt one step behind Pro Evo in my opinion.

I honestly think when it comes out, people who are just getting into the sport will see why.

The fact that the biggest enthuses to this series is on the goal keeper sort of screams a lost plot to me. I mean why pay so much attention to the one guy on the pitch hardly moving about for 90 minutes. PES 15 is gong to kick this game out the pitch.

ArronNelson3915d ago

But have you tried scoring pat one of these new goal keepers sitting around doing nothing for 90 minutes? Good luck getting a goal.

I bought this yesterday and I have to say, EA weren't joking when they said they had changed up the goal keeping system on this. it almost damn near impossible to get one past these super hybrid keepers.

Some people just have to be really honest with themselves, when they are not good at putting one behind the net than blaming EA for tweaking the keepers. I slip one through most games. They have made the goal keepers much more difficult sometimes i see how quickly they change directions but i wouldn't say its impossible to score.

If anything just play at a lower difficulty level if that helps :)

^ I don't play much Fifa anymore, but when I do, I'm on the first division. I definitely am not a guy you should advice to tone down the difficulty.

That said, yes, they dropped the ball on the gk, who, ironically, never drop a ball anymore... I have said it before reading any review or even preview: all the game feels like a decent improvement, but the GK can ruin the fun when you hit that marvelous shot and the keeper just calmly walk aside and hold the ball, simple as that, as if it was always a weak centered shot.

For the people that don't play it regularly, I think it will be something like the 1st noob championship I played with friends, back on the early PS2 days: one guy scored one goal and he had the best attack of us all. :P

Fifa has a lot of positives but #thepitchisours.

I am loving it. EA does seem to be taking on a sort of Football Manager approach to this new series.

brettjones4943915d ago

That is the problem right there, it isn't football manager.

I don't see much difference between this years launch and FIFA14. So I am going to wait for PES15 instead, before getting another soccer game.

janetmarrett113915d ago

I wanted to check out the gameplay on twitch to see if this was worth getting and honestly most of the people streaming were on Ultimate Team trading cards. I know this is a big par of the game but shouldn't be the only thing you thick about when you pick up a soccer game right?

Some reviews say its good, but I already have FIFA 14, does anyone whose play it think its worth getting or should I just wait to for Pro-evo 15

Palitera3915d ago

Try the demo. To me, the GK is bollocks, but everything else is much better, specially ball control and player turning, which were the main grips with 14.

Kinect 2.0 should work pretty well with this technology without the need for a PC.
