3D Platforming never really grab me, I prefer 2D Platforming,

And you have more than your fill of that. It's us 3d platformer lovers that are suffering

One thing that stands out to me in that picture is just how pointy everyones' ears were. Long, pointy ears and 3D platformers must be tied together. And not just here. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro both had long pointy ears.

Looks cool and saves a few poly's compared to proper round ears? back when they were designed PS1-2 era it might have been easier to do pointy ears than round ears? not complaining, looks cool. But imagine round ears on Ratchet... HELL NOOOO!

New Ratchet and Clank has been confirmed.
Platformers aren't going away anytime soon, actually sort of hyped for the movies and games Sony is pushing now. (Sly, R&C, HS etc)

I miss platformers that were more adult too. Such games are Legacy of Cane series, Shadow Man, Akuji The Heartless, Rune and other games like that. To me Uncharted is a 3D platformer. You jump and climb the entire game and collect items in 3D. It would seem That Action RPG has become the new genre classification instead of 3D Platformer. All of the Lego games are 3D platformers as well. I would like to point out that Nintendo has plenty 3D and 2D platformers.

They are still around, they just don't get as much attention as they used to. To get attention these days you need guns, cars or gore, it's a shame a lot of gamers think this way.
