Eurogamer: Hello! As you may already have seen elsewhere, we in the press have had no prior access to Bungie's online shooter Destiny before its global launch date tomorrow. There was no review event, and though review copies have been sent out, they're useless until the servers are turned on.
As a result, we won't have a review to share with you today or tomorrow. And please bear with us, because we want to test the game thoroughly before publishing our verdict. How long our review will take exactly, we're not sure - that will become apparent as we play the game this week. But we're not going to rush it.
THIS is how reviews should be handled. Those reviews that get posted tomorrow or the day after will be completely invalid as the servers are just about to go up today. No one should be out there reviewing a game they had little to no time with.
I think a month or so for a Destiny review is good.Given the amount of things that you can do in it.
this is BULLSHIT!! if this was EA, or an EA title trying to pull off this crap, it would get MURDERED by these so-called "journalists".... they need to let folks review it so they'll know exactly what the hell they're buying..
Only about 2 days are needed. The first 10h day will allow them to get through the entire campaign. The second day they can get a feel for strikes, public events, and multiplayer. I mean you play one strike, you've basically played them all.
Beyond that you have the (artificially) longer raids, but those are just like strikes except with cheap enemy tactics, mechanics, and artificial matchmaking constraints over top of it.
Well, they already got some clicks with it
