GoodGameBro writes, "Hockey is finally making its debut on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with NHL 15 on September 9, 2014. A lot is expected of a video game in the graphics category whenever it appears on a new console for the first time. This is especially true for sports games which have to replicate player likenesses and have to keep team authenticity high on the priority list.
That being said, the graphics in NHL 15 immediately stood out when EA SPORTS released the first detailed look at the game with a NHL 15 Gameplay Series video two months ago. This holds true while playing the game and taking a closer look in instant replay mode. Here is a closer look at player likeness, broadcast goalie camera and my favorite; little details like ice chips flying in the air as soon as a player changes directions in NHL 15."
NHL hockey video games have come a long way. Grandpa Heath takes a look at just how long in the 3rd and final NHL hockey games retrospective. There's also a whole lot of griping about NHL 15.
At least NHL 16 shipped as a complete product. Still waiting on goalies and d-men that act real. I have a feeling I'll be waiting several more years.
I went back and watched the whole series. And I don't even like hockey or hockey games lol Guy is real funny
From Canada to Finland, it's an NHL showdown rematch for the Picked Last Gamers crew - Ryan/Mark vs Chris/Ty - let's play!
Neil writes "This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is now live and brings a few helpful bargains to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. But which of the discounts in place should you be snapping up, and which should you be leaving to one side?"
Sale So disappointing again thought they would step up leading to E3. hopefully better deals on playstation.
Since the Xbox One launch Microsoft sales have been garbage.. I have $30 expiring in 2 weeks that I'm probably going to have to spend on full price content because of how lame these sales are. Hoping for an Ori sale next week during E3.
Did they upgraded from the demo? The game I played was blurry on next gen systems.
Can't wait to kick the Kings ass. They don't deserve the cup. Californians don't give a flying puck about hockey.
To bad it's missing its biggest game mode EASHL. Took an extra to developed it for next gen and they couldn't get it in. They made sure they had their money making HuT is in it though. I've bought every NHL game for the last 13yrs and this will be the first one I skip.
Are you sure? Because I played the demo last night and it's not a pretty game. It plays well, but it's not a looker.
Looks and plays great, very happy with it this year. To bad Ea access only gives you 6 hours, I wasted about 3 hours in one sitting
