If we are putting ff2 I would love to put in Skies of Arcadia and I know people will shout it's not underrated but the people who say that are lovers of the genre among a larger audience it's near unknown I think.

I never got to play Mischief Makers, but my cousin owned and played the hell out of it.

I owned Skies of Arcadia back on the Dreamcast, and it's one of the only RPGs I ever beat...now that I think of it, the Dreamcast is the only home console I've beaten RPGs on (Skies of Arcadia, Grandia III and Evolution 1 & 2)

man warhawk was so good and fun ,the first good immersive depiction of a war and battle (real achievement having in mind that it was on early PSX years)...only in HALO CE after that i felt the same feeling of being in a dynamic war situation

Mega Man is all about 2, 3, and 4. X is massively underrated in the series, IMO.

I feel the same way about FF2. Whenever articles are released on any site about the final fantasy series, it all comes back to VI, VII, and VIII. For me, I just feel like FF2 got lost in the shuffle. It will always hold a special place for me, and I wish it was recognized as the best in the series, but it's simply not.

Just as a note, there is a difference between underrated and under-appreciated.

Underrated: It's thought by many to not be very good but an often vocal minority enjoys it, despite possible flaws. Sometimes conversations about these games are a bit nasty (You actually LIKED game Y! You're an idiot! We all know game Y was the worst!" Examples of games people talk about that fall into this category would be Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil 5&6, Tomb Raider Underworld and Vanquish.

Underappreciated: Not as many people experienced it as some would argue should have. The tone of the discussions about these games tends towards the upbeat ("dude, you never played game x? You so TOTALLY have to! You'll LOVE it!"). Examples include; Panzer Dragoon Saga, Timesplitters, the Yakuza series, etc.

I don't think infamous 2 is underrated. It just didn't sell very well.

Final Fantasy 2 is in no way underrated. Has to be one of the most influential RPG's ever made. It was praised by everyone and sold out everywhere. You could live under a rock and still know who that paladin Cecil is.
