100 Greatest games of all time
UK Retail giant GAME has revealed the results of their poll to find the top 100 video games of all time. Over 100,000 votes were cast with the results throwing up a mixed bag of both timeless classics and modern masterpieces. The results show the current popularity of first person shooters as they take up five of the games in the top ten. Another notable result is Shenmue coming in at number 25 showing that the series is still in many gamers minds despite SEGA’s reluctance to complete the trilogy.
PlayStation 2 takes the console crown having the most games from one individual console in the list. Final Fantasy VII being the most voted for game on the system coming in at number 3.
