In the latest development update, Carbine Studios Product Director Mike Donatelli posted a follow-up to the breaking news that upcoming Wildstar update, The Defile, will arrive in the next ‘few months’, trying to explain what lead to this delay.
The original plan was to release the next update that features a new zone that sets up the ongoing world story of WildStar including more group and solo content, new items and costumes, in September.
Justin van Huyssteen from NoobFeed writes - The Metaverse is a nebulous concept that has been floated about, by some, as the next big thing, and people often want to jump on board these kinds of things. Metaverse has been in the news a lot, but should it be in the news as often as it is? Or is it just another gimmick?
I have no interest in a metaverse, just give me a good single player game. And to answer your question: no, it isn't.
Carbine Studios announced in September that the game would be shut down and that the studio would be closing. Since the announcement, players have been able to enjoy the full game without restriction and with a number of in-game events firing off for the last time.
WildStar offers epic high adventure, where players make their mark as Explorers, Soldiers, Scientists or Settlers and lay claim to a mysterious planet on the edge of known space.
