MP3 should at least be in the top 5, it's the Die Hard of games, you want a 3rp person shooter you play Max Payne

I don't think the author really understands what a 3rd person shooter is, GTA, Saints Row, inFamous and Red dead, yes they are 3rd person games and yeah you shoot stuff, these games are in a category of their own

Those games could of been replaced with proper 3rd person shooters like Kill Switch

Because it's an idiotic list, with tons of games that aren't even shooters. Gears of War 1 was one of the most addictive games I'd ever played. It's sad that it was also the transition into Epic Game's downfall, when Microsoft implanted the mind control on them with huge bags of money.

Yea not including Gears 1 or 2 showed me I shouldn't take this list seriously. I can understand having Red Dead and Uncharted in the top 5, but Tomb Raider and RE4 are better games and impacted third person shooters more than gears or max payne? I get this is an opinion piece but damn. That's like doing a platformer list and not including super mario 64.

Once I saw Infamous on the list, I chuckled a bit. This character really doesn't know what a 3rd person shooter is at all.

I enjoyed Binary Domain for what it was when I got it for free on PS+, but it's a flat out Gears of War rip off. They're not even trying to hide it either. They also ripped off Mass Effect. Again it's a decent game for the price I paid for it, which was free, but it damn near plagirized 2 best selling games.

The fact that Max payne and any of the gears were not in the top 5 or better yet top 3 is asinine. Those games innovated the genre.

Watchdogs and GTAV are classified as open world sandbox games. Infamous technically is a third person shooter, but it's more in line with action adventure. Even if it was classified as a third person shooter I wouldn't put it above a lot of the third person shooters this person listed or kept off the list.

Seems more like the source was trying to think of any 16 "third person shooters". Most of those are what I'd term more like action/adventure than outright a third person shooter.

Couple of good third person shooters: Strike Vector and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.

Many of the games in this list aren't actual third person shooters, they're just third person. Personal favorite third person shooters of mine are Gears of War, Max Payne and Vanquish.

I loved those tactical 3rd person shooters like SOCOM, Ghost Recon, and Conflict.
Star Wars Battlefront I & II were good 3rd person shooters as well.

Is it just me, or am I the only person not "wow" about the uncharted series?

Other games missing that I would've included:

1. Dead Space
2. Max Payne (1, not 2 or 3) Love the comic book story telling.
3. Metal Gear Solid.

And if you're going to put Infamous on the list, why not put Devil May Cry?

Lol wtf is this, either the author here is living under a sponge and doesn't know what Gears of war is, or he's a troll that made this entire list just to troll on Gears.

As a third person SHOOTER Gears of war should be number 1 in this category.
