Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer sure looks a lot like Titanfall

The only thng they have in common is jet packing and double jumping.

Lets talk about how the weapons are getting more ridiculous like laser rifles?

How COD could potentially be going down Saints Row ally with over the top weapons and equipment.

COD is already a ultra realistic shooter but this is definitely pushing beyond that just like what happened to Saints.

Now maybe COD needs this? I personally don't mind COD getting silly because that's what makes it fun and that's something COD fans are starting to expect. First its over the top kill streaks, Dogs, now exosuits.

Besides BF4 will always aim for that realistic nature thanks to its engine that pushes that sort of structure.

When the heck are they gonna put vehicles back in COD? That's literally the one thing I've always missed in COD. That's what it's all about, ripping off other games. It has those cards that increase the power of stuff, which reminds me of the Titanfall cards/Battlefield packs. The movement is purely ported from Titanfall. And the exoskeleton was pure Crysis mechanics.

I wouldn't say the movement has been "purely" lifted from TF. The double jump is really the only thing they have ripped off.

Nonetheless, I agree that all they do is rip off other franchises. And to be honest, I don't really care. As long as my number one priority is fulfilled when I'm playing games (having fun), then I couldn't care less if they ripped off a hundred other games.

I really find it more similar to Destiny,and Crysis than Titanfall but to each their own, the game looks great and is a new COD experience with real next-gen graphics.

Again, nothing wrong with that. Why re-invent the wheel? I'm all for new experiences and all that, don't get me wrong. But sometimes I like playing a mindless shooter. Creators of COD are brilliant. They know they have cornered a large part of the gaming market and they capitalize on it year after year. Is the game always "good?" No, but they've created a benchmark FPS that is always being mentioned in comparison to other FPS games regardless of how good that year's iteration is.

Tell me, off the top of your head, the first three FPS franchises that come to mind. Most people would name COD in that three.

I think it's just the trailer, they make it super action packed but when you actully jump in the pacing is scaled back. Look at the first BF:Hardline trailer, non stop action for the whole thing but when you actually play it it's not like that.

I really miss MW1 when everyone had the same kill streaks and you actually had to get kills to earn them. It was just simple fun. COD is starting to feel like an overly complicated RPG in the customization screens, and that's not a plus in my opinion. Menus just look muddled to me in these last few CODs.

The Exo Abilities are closer to Crysis than Titanfall because they run on a battery which you turn off and on, same for stuff like the air to ground melee attack and laser weapons. Like i previously said the only thing that looked similar to Titanfall is the side dash, there is no wall running and the double jump/hover is nothing new in the shooter space. You're implying that Titanfall had a direct influence on this game when i hardly see any correlation, I'm not being contradictory.

The boosts seem interesting but Titanfall trumps the movement with wall running. Nothing beats scaling walls to avoid enemy fire, popping stim boost, jumping all over the place getting behind them and booting them in the ass

Not really seeing that. They move at a decent pace and there is some vertical traversal, but it is a lot more "titanfall" than "Quake 3 Arena".

It'd very much COD gunplay though (ie see the opponent first, aim directly at them, win).

Titans only make you a tank/powerhouse, that can be an effective means to shift a battle, while these exo suits offer advanced maneuverability and more fast paced gameplay. They seem completely different.

Yep, there is a kill streak where you can drop a "Goliath" on the map. It's a giant mech suit you can pilot.

I don't know. I am afraid they may have too much going on. These "clips" are staged and made to look like real game play. I feel like the coop killstreaks will be terrible. What IW, Treyarch, and now Sledgehammer seem to be missing is that COD4MW was a classic because it was simple. fixed killstreaks, balanced perks, and balanced weapons. The more stuff you jam pack into a game doesn't necessarily make it fun. Titanfall is simple like COD4MW, it's not over the top and it's balanced. This sure looks like a blast, but I am affraid when we actually play it, it's going to be killstreak spamming and too much going on at once.

I mean sure, take it with a grain of salt, but what was shown was still very impressive, and half the whiners are just jumping on bandwagons that they always have, and I bet half of them buy it for SP/ and end up loving it regardless. It could be fun but not sold on it yet. It is sort of Titanfall+Crysis+CoD which is good or bad depending on who you are.

Sometimes in TF I just wanted to have pure Pilot fights and this seems to be taking it to the next level minus parkour wall running anyways (I loved the wall running/jumping--I would play it just to fill the void till Mirror's Edge 2). I have no clue if I will actually enjoy it though but it doesn't look bad just different and capitalizing on CoD name. I have a feeling CoD will stay around forever even if it only barely resembles what it started out as and this is just more proof of that fact.

CoD is sort of the Expendables of the gaming world now. It is a guilty pleasure with little substance most of the time but does what it does really well so for its core audience it is enjoyable while others think "really?" or "are we still doing this?".

***Well it's safe to say that I will not be getting this game. I have been a call of duty fan and consumer for the past seven years. I just want a good old shooter game. This new game is looking a little bit more like Halo without the lasers. I like how some years they went back to war war two and then back to a more modern war like environment. I think they should have went back to a old school war maybe like Vietnam or maybe a desert storm one type of environment I don't think going into a future Halo type of environment was the right move not feeling it.
