Valiant Hearts: The Great War Review: More than a War Game | GamerTell

From the review, "War is often glorified when it comes to the world of modern video games, but never explicitly detailed as an abhorrent, turbulent time for everyone involved. It’s cool to suit up and go oscar mike to your next rally point, guns blazing in a future wasteland, but slowing down every so often to consider the repercussions of your actions or the landscape you’re exploring is always a good idea. Valiant Hearts: The Great War is one of the most refreshing games you’ll play all year"

That should be "Historical". To think that some peeps walk away with this interface as bing their history lesson. No wonder we have some real sad sacks with shattered realities.

I know what you mean. There are people who actually think 0 black men fought in WWII. The history, of course, is 1.2 million just from the USA. Then there are the people who claimed women didn't fight in WWII. They ignore one of the greatest snipers of all time, Lyudmila "Lady Death" Pavlichenko or the WWII female fighter pilots.

It's like all they learned was the US/UK version of WWII. Then they get triggered because they find out that women and black men fought in the war. But then they are suddenly silent when Ubisoft changed the very real shieldmaiden, Eivor Varinsdottir, into a man.

It's sad that they learned such a shallow, superficial version of "history."
