Kombo Reports: "Ready at Dawn has been the prime developer for the PSP since their first title Daxter. Soon after they hit a homerun with a portable version of the hit PS2 console platformer, Ready at Dawn moved on and developed the recently released and major hit God of War: Chains of Olympus. Well, we are about to bid farewell to one of the greatest handheld developers of the modern era. Today, Ready at Dawn revealed that they have finished the Japanese version of God of War and thus ending their PSP development for good. They have sent back their devkits to Sony and look forward to the future, where they are certain to shine bright.

"With Chains of Olympus going Gold in Japan (????!!????!), we're now officially done with PSP development.

So today we sent all our devkits back and seeing all these boxes ready to be picked up definitely marks the end of an era here at Ready At Dawn.

Can't wait to show you guys what we have in store….""

JVIDICAN3782d ago

i think theyre sticking wii-clusive for now =(

Well then, no one cares because Wii owners dont know Capcom from Sega. The best Wii strategy is to throw s**t and see if it sticks.

Guess I should say MOST Wii owners. All the wii owners on this site do of course.

Anyways, I am hoping they put their talent to truly amazing games on the 360/PS3.

Thank You for such great titles Ready at Dawn

although it is your choice; I woulldnt recommend developing for Wii exclusively

go with PS3/360 =]

Darkiewonder3782d ago

well they did port over the stellar ps2 game Okami. so they already know a bit about the system. But i want to see them push the next-gen system to it' limit ;o

Ready at Dawn definantly are talented developers, especially since they pulled of God of War Chains of Olympus. I had no idea that it had the game had gone Gold in Japan... that's pretty good for a American game in Japan. I hope that the Japanese respond the same way once the granddaddy of them all, God of War 3 comes out.

It would be awesome to see what they could on the PS3 though. My guess is that they have more bigger projects in mind that will require the PS3 and/or 360's hardware. It seems as if they have a pretty nice relationship with Sony and I could definantly see them coming out with a PS3 exclusive in the future.
