Resurgence Expansion Coming for Protector SE 12 Years After Release on Atari Jaguar

Carl Williams writes, "The Atari Jaguar is not the first console most people would think of when the words “expansion pack” are mentioned. Maybe the 3DO would come to mind (Shockwave) or Sega Genesis (come on, that “Lock On” technology was just an expansion pack) but not the Atari Jaguar. That is not stopping Songbird Productions from doing just that though with an upcoming expansion for their 2002 Atari Jaguar cartridge release, Protetor: SE. This expansion will utilize the CD-ROM attachment and requires the original cartridge game."

I think from a historical perspective I would change Spyro for Grand Turismo. It's the franchise that made the PS1 look like an absolute unit. Other than that, I can't argue with the rest when it comes to games that defined the PS1.

And to be honest, there should be space for Tekken 3, Wipepout and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in order to round out the PS1 identity as the machine to own at the time.

With Tomb Raider 2, Silent Hill, Symphony of the Night, Tenchu, and Soul Reaver as backup contenders.
