I really miss the multiple players on the cover thing that there used to be. Didn't it use to be that they would have their main guy like Messi in the middle, one guy from each localized territory and then another player who may have been voted in by popular choice? That was so much cooler than this.

The covers of the FIFA games should be regional again or at least do not feature Messi. I am sick of this guy, can't see his stupid face anymore, he is absolutely overrated by now and did not deserve the golden ball at the WC.

But since everybody knows Messi, even the once who do not watch football in general, it draws their attention to maybe buy it and as we all know money is what EA longs for, as well as the FIFA does. I would prefer german players on my "german" version of the game again.

one of the most overrated players ever , each time he wins a golden ball the criteria for the award changes to fit what he has done through out the years even at his worst season ( very very bad season ) he nearly won the award that alone is a proof the people can be at the same intellectual level as goats or donkeys they just follow what OTHERS say .

A few things here.

I already pre-ordered it a month ago. I love me some FIFA although the aids pisses me off.

Messi on the cover again is well deserved because no one is on his individual level. Ronaldo only won best player in the world because Messi was injured.

About the world cup, the only other player that could have won it was Meuller. James Rodriguez was a top scorer but since when does top scorer mean best player? There are other stats to take into consideration. If we want to talk specifics, the 6th goal he scored was via penalty which wasn't one to begin with therefore he should have tied with meuller. Messi did an incredible job for the level of team he had. Meuller has an entire amazing German squad and although Argentina does have some good players, most of the team is unknown at the top level. Given that he performed extraordinarily well with a team the did surprisingly well for not being in the top tier, he deserves the award but Meuller did a fantastic job too.

Ronaldo was injured during all the second half of the season, and both players managed to play the same amount of matches in the league. However CR7 still scored more goals and less penalties than Messi. so....!

Really? I genuinely thought that Ronaldo had more matches played. If that's the case then Ronaldo came in clutch but given the performance difference in the world cup, I do not think he will be taking it this year lol

Lol Messi had the most talented team in the whole tournament! Di Maria, Aguero, Higuain, Palacios, Mascherano, Lavezzi and Zabaleta! All of these players not only are amongst the best at their position but they also play for the biggest clubs in the world!

Sure Germany was the better TEAM but Argentina had an embarrassment of riches on their bench. Messi being the best player on earth should be able make his presence known in the final of all games. Say what you you want about C. Ronaldo but at least he doesn't disappear. You know he's on the pitch whereas you would have to put an apb out to find Messi the final 3 games.

And he wants to reach the level of maradona...

Most talented team in the whole tournament? That's a super lie but hey, given how Brazil performed against Germany and how Spain performed against the Netherlands, I am not even sure what that means anymore. Lol Messi played significantly better than Ronaldo did at the world cup and he was definitely crucial in Argentina making it that far but he can't do it all. Argentina has a top squad but it is beyond a stretch to say they had the most talented team.

Argentina had by far the easiest schedule of any team in the whole tournament. The easiest group and the never played in areas with the scorching heat like Germany did. Anyone who watches the game all year and not just the world cup, would know that Argentina had the most talent.

Also C Ronaldo played better than Messi did in Messi's knockout games. The difference is Portugal is significantly worse, they had one of the 2 toughest groups of the tournament and C Ronaldo was injured to the point of having to walk in a boot in practice and off the field.

To add insult to injury Messi wins the golden ball despite playing subpar from the knockout rounds and into the final and not players like James Rodriguez and Arjen Robben who actually deserve it. It's the 2010 Balon D'Or all over again. Nothing but a marketing popularity contest...
