"In recent days, I can’t think of a genre that has been so utterly undernourished as Survival Horror. Long gone are the days of Silent Hill 2 – where intelligent audio design and a lack of firearms lead to deep paranoia and genuine horror amongst the gaming circle. How reassuring it is to note then, that Red Barrels debut title attempts to champion everything that makes the genre so important, so compelling and so terrifying…" says Gamerwho's Gary Marston.
Footage from what appears to be a prototype build of Red Barrels' first-person psychological survival horror game, Outlast, has emerged.
This sounds interesting. Red Barrels is teaming up with Lionsgate and renown horror producer Roy Lee to develop a feature film anchored in the rich and horrifying universe of the Outlast series.

Very safe list of horror games. I would argue that Amnesia Machine for Pig was not that great. Dark Descent was much a much better game.
Far better games have been released in this genre (Dead Space Remake, Alien Isolation, Alan Wake 2 etc).
I dunno if i can agree about what the writer says about outlast looking better on pc, im mainly a pc gamer and have played it on pc and on my ps4. I cant see any difference beetween them at all. They basically look exactly the same. And yea, i am quite picky about graphics.
These writers keep on n on bout PC looking better, I wish they would write the Specs of the PC they talk bout when reviewing a game, cause I know for a fact you can not build PC to look like X1 n Ps4 for $399.00 can't not do it, add a good controller to it also, for what you get with a console you can't go Wrong, with PC you have to deal with Drivers, lag, Frame rate if your pc can't run the game, and yes pc CPU and all gets dated same as consoles!!
good game, I recommend it to every Xbone owner who isn't afraid to shit their pants (like i almost did)
Why exactly is this posted under the PS4 tab?
