I think most gamers have a general respect for RockStar and the GTA series. To Hack them and spoil any info that they were surely going to announce at the right time seems like such a slap in the face. Have respect for those company's that have earned it. I mean I can name some company's that deserve a hack thrown at them but it surely isn't RockStar.
They certainly weren't ready to announce it, but, the details are still unclear... not a full leak, just a peak behind the curtain to see what's coming.
Fully replay support + mod support would be an incredible announcement.
