A narrative designer on The Last of Us has discussed how a simple gameplay change transformed the tone of the game's ending.
As part of his talk at Develop conference in Brighton on 'Giving Back Control: The Last of Us and Telling Stories in Gameplay', Peter Field discussed the the game's final hands-on section.
PlayStation - The Concert is a magical musical experience for fans of the brand.
Two award-winning masterpieces, together in one incredible collection.
As expected. Unless it's going to Xbox or Switch 2, we can stop hearing about these older games now? We can move on to just news about new games?
This will be the 4th time Sony sells us The Last of Us Part 1.. And the 2nd time on the PS5.
Store says I already own it. I guess it’s just a straight twin-pack. Looks like they added 4 maps to ‘No Return’.
billibil-kun: "As The Last of Us season 2 prepares to air on HBO, we've spotted a mysterious reference to a special edition of a physical PS5 game from the franchise. Here's our take on the game, which remains unclear for now."
I hope it's both ps5 games bundled with all updates including the new no return add ons for April. I'll triple dip on that.
"...C'mon baby gurl, I gotchya.."
The moment that clip started playing a shiver ran down my spine, and it all came flooding back... ahh the sweet sweet memories.
I just can't wait anymore for the Remaster to drop. I want it now so much!!!
Edit: How can you watch that an Not want a sequel. Maybe not about Joel and Ellie, but what happened to the Cordycepts virus? Who leads the fireflies now? Are they still hunting for Ellie, Where is Ish? So many questions.
That rebar incident they talk about in the article was easily the weakest scripting in the game.
Where was Ellie when Joel was being assaulted by a lone assailant?
How could Joel possibly hope to survive a rusty rebar penetrating his abdomen, through both the front and back, without immediate medical attention? He would bleed out very quickly. What about Tetanus?
How is he able to fully function after immediately waking up from a weeks-long coma?
It was about as ridiculous as Uncharted 2 was, when Drake is climbing a train, engaging in firefights, and trekking through a cold climate when he has an open gunshot wound in his abdomen that has been open for a considerable period of time.
I enjoyed the game thoroughly. Only gripe i have is the rebar section. Right before you open the door..Ellie is literally right next to you. You open the door and the bad gay grabs you and Ellie is no where to be found.. I feel like the rebar incident should've been tackled more realistically.. with what the devs chose, it felt like it couldv'e been avoided if Ellie intervened and you know...actually help.
The rebar scene may not have been 'realistic' but it was extremely shocking when it happened. Joel needed to be taken down hard in order for the next segment to work. Meaning layed up in bed. I cringed hard when it happened.
