This is one of the side effects of Plus, now consumers are wary to buy the games or not thinking they will come out for free eventually. I didn't hear anything about the games not being AAA on the Ps4.

My complaint about PS+ is the game selection. For example 2 on ps4 and 2 on ps3 is nice but its lame when they give some crappy ass games like towerfal. Seriously a local coop game that looks like a iPad game that's sold for 1$ is really lame.

I'm not just here to bitch here's my solution if anyone remembers back when psn got hacked they decided to compensate us by giving us 5 free games and of those games we could only choose 2. This is such a badass idea I dunno why they don't do that now. Why not give us 4 free games a month per console and we choose the 2 we want. Its a win win.

The real reason behind people not buying the games and waiting is because the amount of time gamers are willing to patiently wait is just about 5 to 6 months for it to come out on plus. I think it should be a time limit before they release them for free on plus. Most of the indie titles get put on the ps plus free game lineup within 5 months of release.

It is not a bad thing, but it needs to find a better balance for indie titles. I bought ibb and obb when it launched. But then just two months later it comes out for free.

Why did I even buy it? I wanted something new. So now I hold off on buying a lot of titles for this reason. But sooner or later we will be paying for a service just to play games at a monthly cost.

No matter what you do, you're bound to have people that feel differently. Like some people really enjoyed the evergreen system and loved the idea of the IGC, where as other people love getting all the games on day 1 without having to think about it.

With that being said, I certainly have my complaints with PlayStation Plus, but at the same time most of them are unique to me and in the end I only need to save $35 dollars to break even, which is incredibly easy given Plus offers approximately 72 titles a year.

In the end, I think both sides really need to look at these things rationally. Like just because I say something negative about the program doesn't mean I hate it / Sony and plan on trading my PS4 for an Xbox One and just because the program works in your favor doesn't mean someone has an invalid complaint either. I know this has very little to do with your post, but I still feel it needs to be said.

There are more complaints and many of them are more valid that that. Some of those include too many fighting games (Plus should cater to everyone, but it's hard to argue that the fighting genre is under represented), the past couple of months have been weak when compared to previous months, people preferring the old IGC style and various single user complaints.

In the end, this IS a paid service and the free games (save the PS4) are a big part of the service for most people, so I don't think its fair to say they're "entitled brats." However, I do agree the people who're demanding retail games are out of line, since we're lucky to get PS4 games and just because something is released physically doesn't mean it's great or that digital games are automatically awful and vice versa.

There's a difference of complaining and being an entitled prick, this service, which is now needed to play online for ps4, is offering free games across 3 different platforms, they are basically giving away 7 titles each month, but entitled pricks only see the indies offered on the PS4. They expect "AAA"'s to be offered when the console is still new.

I bought 1 year of PS+ at the ps4 launch for $30, the amount of value I've gotten from that $30 is amazing. I'm very happy with my Vita and PS4, and sad that I sold my ps3. I never knew ps+ had this much value, would have gotten ps+ earlier.

I think it's silly that people feel burned when they buy something to only see LATER on that it is cheaper or free. That sounds like spoiled to me. Are these same people going to feel burned when the go purchase a car to then later feel burned when the car goes on sale a few months later to clear stock for the newer models? Agreed nothing is wrong with plus, expect to see major title become available once the ps4 library expands. In regards to the issue in the video, it's tough to balance. Obviously you don't wanna buy something that will be free soon, but if you list the dates that games become free you might jeopardize sales. Maybe keeping a list documenting upcoming titles just a month or two in advance, this might also lead to additional ps plus sign ups as said in the vid.

The answer is easy, Plus isn't a free service so in theory those games and perks are not free. The only thing I can complain about are the selection of games they offer. They are mostly either older titles or games we wouldn't really buy. Sometimes you get those that don't fit that category like Resogun. Even then I still think Plus offers great value.

I think its a fantastic value. I paid $40 for Plus so I already got my moneys worth with Resogun, Outlast, and Strider...not to mention the ten or so games I have to play for when I get my Vita later this year.

Hopefully Sony brings back the OLED screen in a revision of some sort because I prefer that one over the LCD screen after seeing both up close.

Nothing in my opinion, I was always on the fence about subscription services after being an Xbox Live user for so long, I questioned if Sony's version was even worth it but...

I couldn't have been any more wrong with my doubts, I have not regretted a single day of being a PS+ subscriber, every Playstation system I own is jam packed full of games. I don't know how Sony does it honestly, the only time I regret anything is when my subscription expires and I can't renew it right away.

I would have griped with everyone else about Sony making PS4's online multiplayer subscription based but I had PS+ long before then and could not imagine being without it, so that decision just didn't bother me that much this time around. Even if the PS4 hadn't came out or was still not out, I would still be a PS+ subscriber for PS3 and Vita.

Even on slower months at least for me there is always something I want to play or haven't yet. Even if I were to run into a month where I might have everything I can't say I will complain with all the other stuff I've got, I can't complain at all.

I just think PS+ is an amazing idea and just an amazing service all around for any Playstation fan to be without it, seems like such a shame, not because they should have it but because they are missing out.

You guys are looking at what the service offers now (on PS4). I've been a launch PS3/Vita/PS+ owner since day one and frequently buy games, and I know from experience that in the long run, you'll be screwed.

You new comers defend the service because you just got a PS3/Vita/PS4 and PS+ recently and enjoy it, or rarely purchase games, and don't see the big picture down the road.

Here's a solution: offer plus tokens that we can accumulate each month to purchase whatever we want.

You're complaining that either the games suck or were highly popular at one point(probably didn't suck) and maybe you bought this specific game when it first came out.

I just picked up playstation all stars battle royale for $5. I'm not a big fan of these fighting games, that's why I never tried it before but for $5 this game is more than worth it. I already beat the arcade with Kratos and Ratchet, I'm sure I'll get around later to play the rest.

And assassin's creed liberation hd was $9. I've enjoyed every game in the series minus the first boring one and I've yet to play a couple of them but I know that I didn't break the bank to own another decent game.

And consider this. I used to have physical copies of my game, but when a game gets super cheat on the ps store or free because of ps+, that gives me a chance to download it and sell the hard copy.

I have over 200 games on my HDD, I'm sure 1/3 were free, the other 1/3 was discounted greatly, and the other 1/3 are ones that I got on launch. This is what I got over 4 years with this service.

If I bought borderlands 2 on launch, I know there's going to be a complete edition a year later. But why would I miss out just to save $30 in a year?

If you thought about everything in life like this you would simply get all your stuff at a garage sale that couldn't sell and then still complain how it's free because everyone had this at one point or whatever it is sucks...

I can't even count the number of quality free games I've gotten, definitely nothing to complain about...

This service was fine for PS3/Vita because they don't charge for MP. Their selling point was free games monthly, but with the PS4 it's mandatory for MP access. There have been games where I knew I wanted to play them but I wasn't confident enough that I would really enjoy the game enough for me to buy it at launch because it is the type of game to come to PS+. Strider is a perfect example. I'm sure it's a good Metroidvania type of game, but it didn't interest me enough to gamble buying it for full price only for it to be free within 6 months.

With that being said, I don't avoid games I'm really excited about just because it may be free in 6 months. I bought Child of Light day one and loved it. I bought Transistor day one and loved it. I bought Valiant Hearts day one and loved it. If PlayStation Plus didn't exist there would be a couple games every year I would buy that I otherwise wouldn't, but there are three times as many that I wouldn't have bought regardless that I end up playing and enjoying because I got it free through PlayStation Plus.

The current iteration of PS+ certainly feels unfinished and tacked on, as if we caught Sony off guard or something. The launch was disappointing, even with Resogun. We were offered the same games for two months, and I know the PS4,is still new, but I thought Sony would have more exclusives lined up for the service.

I like indies and they do offer a different experience, but I think the problem resonates from a feeling that indies are cheap and that it feels Sony is just buying time until they can offer bigger name games.

I was expecting more, to be honest, and I don't like how we need a PS3 to get the most from the experience. PS4s Plus lineup feels decided anti next gen with multi plat indies that many of us have already played before, but I am glad to see Strider included.

The inclusion of indies on PS Plus isn't going to change, and depending how its handled that could be a good or bad thing. Variety is nice and indies do rock, but yesteryear older titles may not cut it.

As it stands the free games on PS4s Plus are just little extras and people buy it for parties and multiplayer. PS3s Plus is worth buying just for the games, and I hope Sony bridges that gap with their next gen console sooner than later.
