Sniper Elite III on Xbox One Has Day One Patch, Size 10 GB, All Changes Detailed By Developer

Sniper Elite 3, the upcoming first person shooting title from Rebellion, carries a mandatory Day One Patch for Xbox One, it weighs whooping 10 GB. As per the details revealed by Rebellion, this massive day one patch of Sniper Elite III on Xbox One carries ton of improvements and actual cut the actual game install size to just 19GB from 21GB.

I'm looking at this and thinking of 8 hours of download time for me. I bought a few games of steam and 3-5 GBs of game download took around 4 hours so that's my guesstimate.

But really how can a game company be satisfied with that idea? I buy the game and now have to wait a few more hours to start playing, plus add on the install time for the Xbox one which is ridiculously slow!!

I get an average around 80-110mbps and it would be downloaded in, at the most, 15 minutes. 10 minutes is definitely possible though.

Got 15 Mbps for $45 a month. It's a monopoly in my town, i only have Time Warner Cable or ATT that only has 6 Mbps available. God I wish I lived in Austin TX.

They only care if the can tout a difference, since it's the same, they are talking about a patch size... (and although we now the other versions have smaller patches, we don't know how much smaller).

Personally, this patch sounds worth it, it sounds like it does a lot of great things for the game...and I'm really looking forward to this game.

Its not so bad.. at least they were able to keep the game at 1080p on xbox one and the total install size is still smaller than say, watchdogs.

I dont get "broken game" from this. I get; "this is what we HAD to do to get this game running at 1080p on xbox one. A feat most devs have not been able to do.". Especially because ps4 doesnt need this patch, at least not a 10g patch.

This game has some really nice graphics, just like the last one, and is going to be much more fun. That makes it all worth it in my opinion.

But im still going to get it for ps4 and not my xbox one, so its still justified to be sceptical.

Man, gamers are probably one of the most whiny and complaining groups of people out there, besides maybe MADD. It seems 90% of them are never happy and every game is either crap or "broken". Maybe you people are in the wrong hobby... hobbies are supposed to make you happy.
