The After Thought on E3 Microsoft Press Conference

There indi game selection wow'd me the most to be honest, but that Sunset Overdrive and Fable Legends won me over. They did a lot better than last year. Thanks for checking out the post.

IMO thee games were more blockbuster last year. Tf ryse halo5 quantum break...forza5 ..this year halo5 cg crackdown some nice indies...it was a great show but nothing making me want a console from them.

I was expecting to be dazzled, but instead (with the exception of a few titles), we were shown stuff we've seen before and lots of pretty CGI trailers. Overall, pretty disappointed. Maybe next year, Xbox. In the meantime, sit tight on those store shelves.

LOL, they have exactly THREE new unannounced games shown at their conference, out of $hit ton CGI trailers they showed. How that can be considered anything except to much CGI is beyond me.

Moreover most of the content they showed was multi-platform, while Sony focused on things exclusive for their console. Doesn't help either that most of what Microsoft talked about stuff we already knew going into the show. What happened to also those surprises and new IPs you guys were promised. Lmao, utterly MIA.

Sure they did. Destiny,Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield Hardline,Mortal Kombat X, MGS V and GTA 5 are all multiplatform. Even Dead Island 2 is multiplatform I think

Atleast they showed us games this time. I try not to get too excited by looking at footage of a game. I like to play games but Im not much for watching them unless I am trying to learn something new from someone who is really good. I was more excited than normal this year though because they finally understood why people buy gaming consoles

I don't really get hyped off of CG trailers, i was hoping to see gameplay similar to the leaked gif snippets instead, i have no doubt the game will be good i just want to see more before hyping myself.

Microsoft did a better job at presenting what they have.. Sony's cheap jabs and awkward pacing and obnoxious presenters and boring Middle made it a very mediocre E3 for them. I truly hope they learned from this.

After looking at it from the outside... Microsoft did a better job.. I actually cringed and *sighed* during Sony's conference and i'm a diehard PS fan. idk. Just my opinion. If i was a NEW gamer.. i'd go with Microsoft just out of presentation alone.

I admit Sony's conference was not the most epic presentation but they showed just as much good or even better exclusives after the fact Microsoft had the most to prove on showing games.

Microsoft had good games too but I felt most of the xbox exclusives were too cartoonish. I don't mind it but it seemed most of their exclusives were like that.

Honestly Sony felt lacking and not many exclusives coming out this year compared to the XOne. Either way I was impressed by MS a lot only talking about their games and not to heavily on the civilian side of their system.

People keep confusing the reveal with E3, or they're just holding onto sour grapes about the DRM, and not acknowledging that their actual stage show at E3 last year was good.

Because if they keep using the reveal as the e3 show for last year then MS would have won last year too. Since all they announced was games which is what E3 is suppose to be about.

I have both systems and its good to see MS is on the right track. But its just a little odd that MS got shot down last year and sony is Turning around doing the same thing with the games making u go Digital if you want to play the beta and extra content. No one says anything but if MS did this the whole world is coming to an end. I like ps 4 but the big games are still a year or 2 years away. Still glad that both consoles are doing well.

They aren't forcing anyone to go digital. What beta are you referring to? Destiny's is available to anyone who preorders the game by any means. If you want the beta early and extra content you have to get the game on a PS console and that's it.

On a Games level i would say they are about equal.
On a Presentation level Microsoft wins hands down.

Pretty much everything shown was known before except for a handful of games (LBP3, Ori, Phantum Dust, Entwined).

I own both an XBO and PS4 and if i look at what im most excited to play this year XBOXONE wins no doubt, Sunset Overdrive looks amazing. And the Masterchief collection has me very excited.

So for me Microsoft and Xbox "won", but *coughclichecough* GAMERS are the true winners here.

That's one thing people gloss over when comparing E3 shows; what do the consoles have going for them this year?

I know MS have Sunset OD, Forza Horizon, Halo MC Collection

I know Sony have Driveclub, TLOU

Multiplats like of Destiny, GTA5 and COD have a heavy presence for sure, including their platform-centric marketing.

What else is there to push these consoles into homes this holiday season? What will set one apart from the other?

I have PS4 & Xbox One and the Wii U, and I'm glad that Xbox did much better than last year E3 . They looked very humbled from last year E3 show IMO....the only thing is that makes me wonder is how much longer are they going to continue X360? They did not mention any new games for 360 in 2015... The exclusive line up was good. And that's the only reason I got the Xbox one for only Exculsives games , multiplat games I'll be getting them on PS4and all the Exclusive of PS4. The same with the Wii U only Exclusive I'm be getting. So I hope Nintendo does well also. Can't wait

MS mention no numbers, Smartglass & TV. Everyone presented games when they spoke to the audience. The only media they stated was the series that is coming with the Halo Collection. And I must say, $60 for the whole Halo (1080p/60fps) Series (except ODST), 100 Multilayer maps must be one of the best gaming deals I ever heard of.
